I forgot to say, I'm especially jealous you got to see Metric this time around. I adore Fantasies. It's one of my favorite albums of the year, and possibly my favorite Metric album. I just wished they had replaced Stadium Love or Front Row with the bsides Waves, which I think is one of their best songs ever. I still like the other two, but not as much as the rest of the album, which I consider remarkably strong.

I actually haven't listened to AATS in awhile, but I also love Fire to your Plain and Welcome to England, and the last songs very much, like we spoke about before. I like Police Me more than I used to although it's still one of my least favorite Tori songs. I'm jealous you got to see Metric. It doesn't seem like they are going to be touring around here, or they haven't announced anything yet. When I saw them for Live it Out, the audience was great- maybe too great, I got knocked to the floor a few times. I wish more bands come here.. we get basically nothing. i saw Sarah Slean the other night, for the 4th time since she always comes here. Someday I want to move far away so I can actually see all of my favorite bands and musicians, a chance I never get here. take care!

Hey, I'm doing pretty good, how are you? I like the new Regina Spektor album a lot. It's weird though because it lacks some of the emotional connection that her older works have- it's kind of similar to how I feel about AATS, although I think Far works better as an album overall. I like or love every song on the album, except for the Wallet which I find sort of dull. My favorites are Human of the Year, One More time with Feeling, Blue Lips and Genius Next Door. I have read a lot of people saying they dislike the changes to Blue Lips and Folding Chair, but I don't mind it as much, surprisingly. While I certainly prefer the older versions, I think the new ones work also. I like the additions to Blue Lips, actually. So yes I like the album quite a bit but there is a little disconnect there that I can't explain. Maybe it's because of all the producers that the songs are filtered through or something?But I still enjoyit quite a bit.

Hi! Ohmygod, it's so good to hear from you! It has been forever. :) I'm doing great, and yes clearly obsessing over the new album. I had a week away from the internet while I was travelling, so I've really been able to listen to the album without everyone's opinions flying left and right on every forum I go to *lol* My favourites right now are Calculation, Dance..., Genius Next Door, Human of the Year, Laughing With... I could go on! I think the only songs that haven't firmly settled with me are Machine and maaayyybe The Wallet.
