Since late March '09, I've been getting back into the Disney Rennaissance films after not having seen them in yeeaaarsss!! You know how it is.
So here's my Top 5 of all time! Enjoy, and maybe even respond with your own Top 5 :)
5. the little mermaid
We have to pay homage to it for being the one to kick off the bloody renaissance. 'Part of Your World'... 'Under the Sea'... getting nostalgic goosebumps? This film is largely responsible for setting up the best decade in history. What is Disney without it?

4. the lion king
It's a classic. I can't deny it, but I also can't place it any further than 4th place. Not my kind of movie, but I do admire much of the cast. It's on the fine line between being way over the top and right on point, so as a result it's pretty damn good! Long live the king!

3. beauty and the beast
I thought everyone had forgotten this one but a lot of people I've met still agree that it's possibly the definitive and most memorable animated feature so far. The opening scene, then Belle's song, then the dance sequence with the Beast, then the transformation. Possibly the best moments in animation history.

2. Mulan
One of the best and most underrated of the Disney films. It has an amazing soundtrack, including the song that gave Christina Aguilera a career. I could watch this movie every day and not get bored of it. It stands unique, really. How many other Asian Disney films can you think of? Favourite film now and again.

1. aladdin
Not even considered a favourite. Just... Aladdin! My childhood in one word. Or rather one film. Everything here is perfect. The perfect sidekicks, the perfect princess, the perfect hero. The perfect bad guys even! I still enjoy it no matter how many times I see it.
