I've gotten to play with people who don't listen to metal at all...and had to adapt and learn other styles...which leads to opening my eyes to other types of rock or music in general...I used to be one of those metal nazi's...If wasn't Swedish or Norwegian I didn't listen to it...And everything besides black and death metal was for pussies. But I got older and much more openminded...drugs helped a bit : ) I don't get high anymore, but I'd be lying if I didn't get into particular genres because of drugs...drone, psychdelica, ambient etc. I hardly listen to any traditional metal anymore...death, melodeath, thrash...It just doesn't resonate with me anymore...I can't really explain it. I love extreme music still...but my days of jammin In Flames, LOG, KSE and the like are over...I could go on forever about it but I won't...just puzzles me.
