Ah yes, I grabbed both but haven't got that far in my new folder yet - keep being sidetracked this week. And as for Daedelus? Oh yes. I love Denies the Days Demise and his debut the most. But really, Denies = pure win. One of the best cycling albums...

I feel like I'm pretty familiar with Smokey Roles, I saw him on the support tour for that album, and I've listened to What Will Be from start to finish twice, as well as a song here and a song there, but it just doesn't do anything for me. I guess we just have different tastes in Devendra. I like your charts though, you've got great taste!

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I don't even see Rejoicing in the Hands on your charts. I don't know if you have listened to it when not on last.fm or not, but if not you should really give it a listen (or a re-listen). I do think Smokey Roles is a lot better than What Will Be, but neither get close to Rejoicing or Cripple Crow.

Sure sure, I know what ya mean... but when you do have the time, or the solitude.. holy balls. That album is far above anything else by any of their peers, bar none. Except, of course, for Spirit of Eden. Which you should really check out - I like it more for probably the same reasons you would - it's more immediately song-based, you can listen to it on a drive or something less-than-total-solitude, it's catchier, and it's not quite so quiet (my only complaint with Laughing Stock - and why I only listen alone with headphones)... I can send you my copy, in fact, if you'd like. That album alone guarantees a special place for Talk Talk for the rest of my life. It's one of the few albums I'd unequivocally place on a top 10 ever list.

Yeah it's a great album! I finally tried them out when I realized they were often compared to Talk Talk. Of course, it's not anywhere near the genius of their last 2 albums but I love that it's, for once, at least in the realm of Talk Talk. Not many artists attempt that..
