I suppose I should randomly namecheck a bunch of artists so that people read this... I've been listening to a lot of Merzbow recently - you can probably hear the influence. After finally getting round to listening to it properly it's taken over Winterkälte's position as my favourite noise artist of all time. I've also recently come to the conclusion that Coreline is currently the pinnacle of musical history - partly because of being really really good, but also because of the range of influences and the rare combination of being great music but also quite accessible. Another recently discovered favorite of mine is CyberLotion, which is very nicely minimal and diverse-sounding.
