Here's a list of my 20 favourite tracks on the CBS Top 100 2005 Edition list. Original track rankings are (in CBS order) 1,2,3,4,5,10,12,13,17,18,38,39,64,68,69,78,79,88,93 and 94.
 The Chase
This track gets the 20th and last place. I could easily have included one of the B.W.H.-tracks or possibly Laserdance instead.
 Are You Loving
Yes sir I am loving! Powerful vocals along with a very likable melody (even though that sound reminds me of pan flute).
 Believe in yourself (remix)
Suprising changes in energy density always helps! I like that there's something lurking behind the sweeping sound scenery.
 Disco Lunar Module
Stunning sounds together with a TEE-like beat gives a certain type of drive to it.
 Symphony Electronique (Long)
Just lovely! I wish it could go on for another 16 minutes. This is possibly as far away you can come from my usual favourite genre - Industrial. Extremely slow and very muffled beats relative to the melody. Does this track have a melody? Let me know if you can sing along to it?
 Queen Of Discoteque
This track just gets better and better every time I listen to it. A bit of those high energy density time derivatives as mentioned above.
 Tech-No-Logical World
The 'trying-to-predict-techno-utopia' is just so cute! A prophet? Ha ha!
 Take a Chance
Is this the very definition of Italo disco? One of the few examples in my list of a song where the vocals are the most important. Lovely voice distortion effects.
Has a slight touch of humour to it. I think of Tarzan boy when I hear the vocals for some reason. The combination of low pitch voices and the insane Southpark-like bit produces interesting dynamics.
Brilliant Jarre-like melody! Is the track title just a coincidence?
 When I Let You Down
Again excellent Italo as in the case of Mr Flagio
 Body Heat
The Hey you, take a look at me bit is fascinating. I find it hard not to sing along with it. Usually I find dominant saxophones annoying but this is an exception.
 The Hills of Katmandu
I've heard this track being referred to as being Cossack-Italo. In any case, I love it. And yes, I can understand how some bits sound 'Oriental'. And the title is just brilliant to. Connects the Cossacks with the Arabian Night atmosphere!
 Vena Cava
What are those sounds? Great, melancholy-dripping soundscape. Can somebody make a Happy Hardcore version of this please?
The takeoff after about 1:10 is just great! Energetic to the maximum despite the muffled beats! Or maybe just because of them?
 Spacer Woman
Would Robot-DJ-X call this a typical Italo track? Once the track get started it has this drive to it that mesmerizes me. Makes me forget time and space! Is that what spacer women do to you? Or is it just my dream of having a girlfriend from space that plays tricks on me?
 Don't Be Afraid
Perfectly winding and curling but at the same time dragging bass line. I'd like to be the one who synthesized those sounds!
Italian italo? Can any body not like this track? noy noy noy noy..... amor...! I have absolutely no idea of what she's singing about but all I can see in front of me is soft pink clouds and pina colada en masse. Is this what the Sirens sounded like? Take me there! Somebody make a cover in ancient Greek please!
 The Ultimate Warlord (Moby Dick)
Killer Vocoder! I want to be able to sing like that vocoder! There's so much energy in this song it's insane! The pipe-organ chords are massive!
 Die Stärke Der Vernichtenden Schläge
Absolutely spot on! Simply quasi-industrial, pseudo-aggressive, kraftwerk-esque, germano-pretentious, energy-electronica purified audio-genius!
I still recall hearing this track for the first time which hints on how good it actually is.
And, as a bonus, some trivia.
This is the best jingle I think.Cbs Letters
(between track 26 and 27).
Here's the track that I dislike the most in the CBS Top 100 2005.
 Hey Hey Guy
This track is intensely radiating the kind of submissive lameness that I just can't stand! There's something creepy about those sounds from the dial too. Can somebody please delete this track from history? Please!?
