I certainly have listened to some good new stuff lately. If you're looking for some good folk, try Samamidon (I love the song Saro). More upbeat stuff - I love the new Dan Deacon album Bromst. Late of the Pier is generating a ton of buzz with their first album. They're a lot of fun. I've also finally gotten myself into Hot Chip, which is a really good time.

I'd check out Say Hi's new one. I think I was in the same boat as you, nice but not special with the old stuff. I think this steps it into very good but not special. Enjoyable, though.

i really ilke being able to see actual numbers on how much i've listened to something. obviously last.fm isn't gonna account for all the music i listen to, but it's a lot better than nothing. it's especially interesting to me to look back and see what i listened to the most in particular years. i'm not very good at being able to put dates to occurrences, so it's kind of like a little window into my past. "oh yeah! that's what i was doing then! (i can't believe i listened to that album that much..!)"
besides music, i am pretty keen on reading and crazy things like hanging out with friends. also, if you ever want to take me skiing, i will go...?
