Yeah, it's a shame :\ Captain Beefheart is a very underrated band in my opinion. Many a time, I have tried to convert people, and it's just odd.. they just don't seem to hear what I hear. I've got Safe as Milk, I love it, but if I had to pick a favourite: Autumn's Child. I like all the songs on there though, Plastic Factory is great too. But Trout Mask Replica is maybe a little too obscure for me, mind I do like Ella Guru and Moonlight on Vermont :)

Lies and slander! :D I've seen them twice now and they were just ... lovely! And she's so wonderfully polite and courteous and completely awesome when they come out to say hi at the end. They mostly play music from the new album (I think they were promoting their next single), but also sang Eighties Fan and quite a few from Let's get out of this country. So if they ever tour near you, I wholeheartedly recommend that you go see them :)

they're amazing. trust me. let's just say that you've been missing out. now, it might come over a bit dark and brooding first but give it a try, you'll see through this eventually and come to understand the genius. also, i need to listen to something upbeat while doing housework!
