WORKING. A task that most of us perform. Sometimes on our feet. Sometimes slouched on a chair. And many of us get to listen to music while we work.
inspector dubplate is a great one to get work done fast. I feel he's one of the few "Dubstep" artists that made a breakthrough and demonstrates decent skill at mixing.
For other speedy work that requires a deadline soon DJ/Rupture knows how to fucking rock the boat. I've been blasting Low Income Tomorrowland a lot lately - which he smoothly integrates such a diversity of artists. From 50 cent to Bong-Ra to Filastine. Hearing a DJ with that much skill while also exploring so many corners of the musical spectrum is hard to come by.
During the day, sometimes it's nice to drone out to what some describe as "post-rock". Why it's a horrible 'genre' is a whole other issue, but many artists labeled under it are great for working. I've been listening to Grails quite a bit recently.
And of course, the plethora of hiphop that makes working that much more swagga. It's all about big pun, masta killa, gucci mane (in heavy moderation), and DJ Screw.
