Sobre mim

Fajar Jasmin, – also known as unquote -, is an elusive misfit. Jealously guarding the secret of living large, only 2-3 people know his real identity. ( not anymore, though )

He suffers from HIV and wears it on his sleeve like a red badge of courage ( or a scarlet letter, -depending of what kind of person you are ). In doing so, he’s hoping to break down the barrier of stigmatization, and instill confidence in the collective psyche of society that HIV-positive patients are not dangerous and can still function.

Among all others, he’s a climate writer who serves as the editor-in-chief of Iklim Karbon, – a site that aims to raise awareness of climate crisis in Indonesian public. He’s also a TCP Presenter and holds the role of Press Officer for Indonesia’s national delegation to UN climate talks.

That being said, he’s also a pompous smartass. Proud father. Inconsistent blogger. Self-styled writer. Avid reader. Book kisser. Passionate lover. Industrial music evangelist. Dumb loyalist. Top-notch timewaster. Football philosopher. Tolstoy apostle. Lucky bastard. Ping-pong spin doctor. Hopeless romantic.

His interests include
Rammstein, Husker Du, Kraftwerk, Funker Vogt, Placebo, Disturbed, Live, Sinead O’ Connor, Mr. Big, House of Pain, George Michael, Cranberries, Catatonia, Linkin’ Park, Toto, Queen, Celine Dion, Creed, Skid Row, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver, Stone Temple Pilots, Suede, Joe Satriani, Sarah McLachlan, Dido, Frou Frou, Imogen Heap, Sheryl Crow, Umberto Eco - The Name of the Rose, Jorge Luis Borges - Labyrinth, Leo Tolstoy - War and Peace, Fyodor Dostoyevsky - The Idiot, Dan Eggers - A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius, Stephen Hawking - Brief History of Time, Irvine Welsh - Trainspotting, Herman Hesse - Steppenwolf, Alexandre Dumas Peré - Count of Monte Cristo and Umberto Eco - Foucault’s Pendulum.
