And then answer 13 questions about them..

1. What was the first song you heard of 6?
"Heartbeats". Someone had posted the BRAVIA commerical on an LJ community and I found the song absolutely breaktaking. Still probably one of my top favs by him.

2. What is your favourite lyric that 5 has sung?
"Please shut up and try and sound confident
In a crap job when your minicourse is done"
-- "Work, Work, Work (Pub, Club, Sleep)

3. What is your favourite song by 7?
Either "Ramble On" for the sole fact it's about Lord of the Rings or "Friends" because I love the guitar and orchestra.

4. Is there a song of 3 that makes you sad?
Uhm, well not exactly since most of her songs have an upbeatness to them but surprisingly "Samson" would be one and maybe "Field Below" as well.

5. What is your favourite lyric that 2 has sung?
"When I'm weak I draw strength from you
And when you're lost I know how to change your mood
And when I'm down you breathe life over me
Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny" -- "Destiny"

6. How did you get in to 3?
There was this girl on LJ that I greatly admired for her portrayal of Draco Malfoy and I saw that she really liked Regina Spektor. I had heard about her but never checked it out so I download a few songs and I was hooked. I listened to Regina and only Regina for nearly an entire month. The main reason why she's in my top 3 is because of that time alone.

7. What was the first song you heard by 1?
Oh my god, I remember this day perfectly. It was a month after 9/11 and I was just laying on my couch one Saturday morning while my mom was cleaning house. MTV was playing the music video for the song "Trouble" and I thought it looked so weird and the music was so sad but moving. I heard it, forgot the name of the band and eventually forgot the song. Later when I heard "Clocks" I realised they sounded familiar so I went and bought A Rush of Blood to the Head and it started something uncontrollable. I fell in love with a band for the first time in my life. It introduced me to music outside of the radio and eventually to what I have become today. Fucking love this band more than I can say.

8. What is a good memory you have concerning 2?
One of my orchestra teachers back when I was a junior in high school actually got me into this band. He knew I was a fan of Radiohead and he was like, "If you like Radiohead you'll love these guys. I saw them in concert last night and it blew me away." So, I remembered the name and that was it. Two months later my parents bought me a car and my mom and I drove up to Best Buy and since I didn't have a working CD player she said I could by a tape adapter and a single CD. I bought "When It Falls". I drove back home and I just sat in my new car alone and played that CD for a good hour. So awesome.

9. What is your favourite album of 1?
"Parachutes". There isn't a single song on that album I hate and I never get tired of any of the songs on there. No matter what mood I'm in or how stressed out I am it always calms me and gives me the ability to think. Ah, I sound like one of them emo kids. D:

10. What is your favourite lyric that 4 has sung?
"So now she is crawling on her hands and her knees
She is dirtying her jeans choking on her own perfume
With a pen she writes below the sink in someone's restaurant
This place is inconvenient for my name
She forgets to write it anyway
She forgets to write it anyway" -- "Political Scientist"

11. What is your favourite song of 10?
"3x5" because it brings back some amazing memories from my high school days.

12. How many times have you seen 8 live?
Zero. How sad is that??

13. What is a great memory you have considering 9?
When I first heard "Last Goodbye" and "Hallelujah" I knew my life had changed musically. When you hear Jeff Buckley sing it's like hearing someone sing for the first time. His lyrics and his voice just did me in and I was just in shock. I mean, come one, "But remember when I moved in you/ And the holy dove was moving too/And every breath we drew was Hallelujah"?? How can you NOT love something like that?

Sorry, not to be a naysayer, but I don't think that Jeff Buckley wrote Hallelujah. He DOES sing it beautifully, though.
