1. New Slang- Beautiful in it's simplicity. But I'm sure you know that by now.
2. The Electric Version- Great opener to a great album.
3. Baby C'mon
4. Common People- Ooh, a message. This song just builds up and up, and just when you think it can build up no more, it continues to build.
5. Talking Shit About A Pretty Sunset- Great early Modest Mouse.
6. Do The Whirlwind- Great song. And has anyone heard the mashup with Busta Rhymes' "Touch It"? It's very good.
7. Don't Quit While You're Ahead- What? A song from a Broadway musical? Drood just might have the best soundtrack I've ever heard from a Broadway musical.
8. Chasing Heather Crazy
9. Something to Look Forward To- This is the quintessential Spoon track. The percussiony guitar, the tambourine, the falsetto. Anyway, it's a good song.
10. Did I Step On Your Trumpet- I think I feel the same way about Danielson as I do about Deerhoof. Daniel Smith is a songwriting genius, but his voice is very irritating.
11. Wake Up- This is kind of an old song, for me at least, as I've been listening to The Arcade Fire since I've been listening to indie music, pretty much. Which is not that long. It still blows me away.
12. Los Angeles, I'm Yours- This track puts a smile on my face. It looks kind of creepy in public.
13. All Fires- Dan Bejar and Spencer Krug in the SAME BAND? Add the fact that on first listen this track sounds better than anything either of them have done (with the possible exception of Wolf Parade's "You Are A Runner…" or Bejar's New Pornographers tune "Streets of Fire", and this has become one of my most anticipated releases of the end of 2006, along with Modest Mouse and The Decemberists.
14. The Union Forever- Underrated Stripes song. It's a masterpiece.
