First off, the openers: Smile Smile, and Sebastien Grainger and his band. Smile Smile has a nice indie pop/folk vibe about them. Some catchy pop-folk songs in their set, and they were done.
Next up was Sebastien Grainger and his band. I wish I could've seen him in his Death From Above 1979 days, but this is as close as I was going to get to seeing him perform live. The guy knows how to rock. Kudos to Grainger for hoping down off the stage to co-mingle with the people up at the front. The bass player looked like he could've been cast in Dazed And Confused.
Finally, Metric. Most of the songs were from the latest album, with a selection of Live It Out coming in second, and a few older songs near the end of the set. Emily did all the things that make a concert great: encouraging the audience to sing along, asking the audience to get out he lighters, moving around on the stage and not tied to the keyboard, and having some cool light effects.
An excellent show from all the openers to the headline act.
