Well got dayum! I knew these boys had it in them. Fantastic new album, which after a few listens could very well be in my Top Ten for the year so far. So, so good.

  • The New Shapes

    Dez 6 2005, 13h18

You should really check them out. Yes, you should.

The New Shapes are a fine new band out of London, who write dead simple yet catchy as all hell pop songs. Reminds me of the 80's band The Knack for some reason, and that's not a bad thing. One listen and you'll be hummin' along.

Hey, Claire from XFM digs 'em, so they can't be that bad!

Find more info at the link below, check out their latest video, and order their ep's damnit!

  • Babyshambles - Down In Albion

    Out 22 2005, 21h58

Fiiiiiiinally the Shambles are set to release their debut album. For fans of The Libertines, or simply Pete Doherty, you'll surely enjoy this. It has all the addict swagger, the pub sing-a-long's, and the attitude that you'd expect. A bit slower than I expected to be honest [sometimes sounding like The Stones, and even some reggae vibes], but that's not to say the songs are boring. It's a lovely mess.

The sixteen-track album was produced by Mick Jones and mixed by Mick Jones and Bill Price. It's released through Rough Trade Records on Monday, November 14th in the UK. No US date set at the moment.
