First thing I got was the essential Cheap Trick comp, I just got this 5 album boxset with the first 3, All Shook Up and Next Position Please, I'm not a huge fan Dream Police, it's good but the first 3 are just total classics

Yes, I guess there's not many people listening to Jerry McCain, I only have a handful of his tracks. Thanks for your comments on my pictures, you can see more here: <http://a-photo-for-everyday.blogspot.com/>;. They get updated every day. I'm glad to see Fox On The Run is so high on your top tracks!

So are ya just cheap, or believe the convoluted artifice of reasoning as to why you don't like to ever pay for something as wonderful as music? I gladly pay door cover charges to support the music scene, because I personally know the money generated in turn furthers the existence and livelihoods of those engaged in bringing to life one of my favorite pastimes. Please support musicians & their families by buying their official releases, especially at shows, and whenever possible at independently owned shops. I cannot in good conscience condone unauthorized posting of complete albums, especially those still in print, or the wanton 'bootlegging/posting' that truly does harm an artist's ability to reap due financial rewards from their creative works. RESPECT.

Pirating music doesn't make people nihilists. Art is the epitome of human expression. Lets talk music. How can you charge people to hear sound? There are numerous other factors to be taken into account before you start questioning the morals of supporting the artists. You can wipe your arse with the history of piracy, it's not relevant. Fundamentally art is free. How can you sell the ancient paintings in caves? Who do the caves belong to? When art becomes a physical commodity, a business, rather than an artistic form... when art is sold for profit rather than created as a method of expressing emotions questions the real ethnics of piracy versus humanity. How can you put a padlock on something that cannot be constrained? I support humanity, rather than capitalist corporations.

if you think a price cannot be put on art...you might be living in a dark hole of futile fantasy. In London this year it took about 8 minutes for a sculpture to sell at auction for 65 million pounds ($104.3 million US). If you honestly think bands or the companies that package and distribute their works do not deserve recompense for anything they produce, you are certainly free to think as such, but your own admission to the term 'piracy' seems odd. A system that does not reward the labors & costs of the creators does bode well for anyone. I suppose we'll see in ten years what your generation is left with as far as a support system for musicians and art...

Fuck your anti-'piracy' bullshit. What about those that love music and can't afford it? you can't put a price on ART. It's not a fucking commodity. Why should someone pay money for bands like Magic Hour when they're 'supporting' a monopolistic record label and not the [defunct] musicians? Think for before you preach your bullshit

Little known fact, if you hum along with production or library music it makes you blend into any background, rendering you invisible.

Sorry I couldnt read all that. Chill. I was just asking because I heard he screwed over the NY Dolls and they fired him. One of my favourite bands. Obviously I dont know much about him Im not an old guy. I just want to know why they hated him.

thanks for the heads up on the ArtCore issue with The Beef People 7", it arrived recently cant wait to give it a listen :) also i am in complete awe of your artist count! id love to chalk it up to bad tags and you being some kind of compilation fiend but i don't think even that could explain such a high number.

I don't know how I got so many listens....but when i signed up Last.fm synced up with a musoc player or two on my computer...that might be how it happened. Sound possible?

Sobre mim

Hello...I live in the SF CA Bay Area, where I work in the events industry. I love a vast array of music & sounds of all sorts and particularly dig the amazing artists that understand the lost art of "show biz". I strain my brain writing, thinking, dreaming & pondering music way too much. My tastes wander away from the here & now, and back in time and beyond. I'd rather rock & merely meander past the cautionary categories & crass commercialism that the "industry" gives us.

I'm fairly busy living, but I used to upload stuff regularly at my music-centric MP3 blog where there's some wanton writing and tawdry tales i have posted previously that could help tie the loose ends of my madness for ya.
