Hey! I'm doing a master thesis about Korean culture in Europe, so I wanted to ask you if you could help out with my research and maybe share that with your European friends. I need to get as many European kpop/kdrama/kmovie fans as possible for the research to be good. I prepared a survey - so people just need to contact me by writing me an email to suncicamitrovic12@gmail.com and I'll send them the survey. I hope you'd be able to help me - it's extremely important to me and would mean a lot! Thanks a lot and I hope I'll soon hear from you!!

It's okay, I hope that your vacation went well! :) I wasn't that active online recently either, or at least not as active as I'd like to be. I juct checked that link and I'm not a subscriber myself but this is completely unfair to you! I don't get it how a few countries can still have all the additional features but the rest not.

But I usually learn some words when I begin to love something. So when there was a time when I adored Indian films, I learned some Hindi and now that I listen to Kpop, I learn a bit of Korean. But my favourite is still English and one of my dreams is to move to Great Britain, at least for some time. Or generally go to Great Britain, because I've never been there before and I'm completely in love with it, British culture and language :) Can I ask about your favourite TV shows? You mentioned them earlier :) I'm not a huge gamer, because even though years ago I loved video games I don't own many now, but I think I'm a TV show addict, lol. And thank you! I hope you had a great week and wekend too, and that next week will be good too :)

And I'd love to get to know you better :) I'm from Poland and I'm 23. I majored in English over a year ago and then I tried another course but I had to stop it because I have some problems with health that need to be taken care of first. That's why I can't look for a job yet, because I should have a surgery soon but I look forward to working once it's done and I will most probably start studying for MA in English later on. And in free time I sing :) I actually attend vocal lessons and for 7 years I've been in a group with whom we're recording a second CD now. It's a weird conicidence but that's how I found out about SNSD - at that time there was 9 girls in my group and we're around the same age so I was immediately drawn to SNSD. I have a wide taste in music as well, I usually listen to anything that I like, but mostly K-pop, rock, metal and recently folk. I obviously speak Polish but also English and a bit of French. I love learning new languages.

I don't want them to disband either, because their music helped me a lot but I think that more and more often they look very tired. I think they need longer vacation - I mean last year they released two whole albums and this year so many singles, plus all the individual activity. It makes me sad to see the way Kpop industry works and that SM knows they are their biggest source of income, so they "use" girls to the fullest. And then the fans complain that the girls don't put much effort into performances, while I think they're just too tired. Sunny's smile makes me so happy too, it's unbelievable xD But it's so contagious :D And yes, you managed to upload it! It looks amazing, Sunny was fantastic in that episode of Dangerous Boys. I haven't seen all the episodes yet, but the way she acted as a lawyer, darn ^_^ By the way, thank you for sending me the invite to your friends. I wasn't sure if I can send it to you first, because of your friending policy.

I sometimes think that maybe Sunny gets little attention because Lee Sooman is her uncle and SM doesn't want to be accused of favouriting her because of family ties. But she's one of the main singers so it doesn't make sense to me (like in Paparazzi she's got even less single shots than the members who are main dancers - even when it was her part to sing). Or I'm just too frustrated, because she's my bias, haha. And you know - it's got a bit complicated with her hair recently xD When they promoted The Boys at first she had a wig and then cut her hair, Recently she's had them a bit longer and darker blonde but last week she's had them very short and light blonde again - just like at the beginning of The Boys era. So all the fans are thinking that they're going to give her a totally new haircut for the new album and that she's hiding it under the wig. I agree because in the airport photos she hid her hair and in the performances it really looks like a wig ;P

For me they're all beautiful, too because I think everyone is beautiful in their own way ^_^ But I couldn't like an idol just because she/he is beautiful, like I see some fans do. The clips on YouTube has sold me on Sunny, too! :D I don't know if I mentioned that but Oh! was also my first MV of them and then I immediately saw Run Devil Run, because the end of Oh! intrigued me. I loved Sunny's outfit in Run Devil Run, I thought she's got this spark in her and she stood out to me, too. I think that I can say I loved her from the beginning and yep, I've got a little girlcrush on her ;P But basically because I admire her a lot and I would like to possess some of her qualities. I think that Yoona get a lot of screentime, because she's the face of SNSD and most of the time she's in the middle in dance sequences but I'm still pretty angry with the distribution of screen time. Probably because of Sunny, but a few of other members also get so little, it's not fair for me.

Wow, I'm surprised that you even find time to track their music! I can't have a job now but when I was studying from Monday to Friday, I was away for 8 hours, too, or sometimes more, and it was very tiring. Right now there's a website about SNSD that I check every other day and only that's how I find out about their activities. It's great because they have everything in one place and all news, but if not for that I'm sure I wouldn't be able to search all sites for articles about them. And I think you are their proper fan! You listen to their music and I guess that's most important :) I agree on Taeyeon, Jessica and Yoona being SM's favourites - especially Yoona, because she's got a lot more activites than the rest of the girls and I've heard that she signed 10 year contract, while other girls signed only 5-year contract at first. Tiffany also get a lot of attention recently, also because of TaeTiSeo. At the bottom I would rank Hyoyeon, Sunny and Sooyoung.

I had no idea that music can trigger the release of dopamine, but I guess it explains a lot :) But when I think about it, I don't know that many people in "real life" who love listening to the music and do it very often. Maybe a few. And it's funny that you forget to turn the music on, I do that too sometimes, when I have to turn it off, because for example someone starts talking to me. But I often have problems with the volume. I like to have it probably a bit louder than I should and so when I go somewhere and someone walks up to me on the street, I need to turn the music off or turn the volume down. And it's wonderful that music helped you through that New Years Eve. When I'm down I also read a lot or watch my favourite TV shows, but music helps most.

Sobre mim

Hi! 안녕하세요?

I listen mostly to Korean pop music, but I like a lot of other music as well. I prefer music with female vocals. I don't care what you think of what I listen to. I think enjoyment of music is an entirely subjective experience, and thus I think that taste in music cannot be justifiably criticized.

I do not accept random friend requests. Don't even bother trying, I just ignore them.

I'm guessing Korean pop music is not mainstream among most last.fm users, haha. (^_^)

Yeah, I totally prefer songs with female vocals.
