Ahh. Inversion, right?! Id et sciri ante et praedici posse quia naturali ordine statis temporibus fiat? Heh, thank you. It just seemed like way too many ablatives. :)

Makes sense, it is about a lunar eclipse. I just don't understand the tenses, there are like three infinitives. And this part: naturali ordine statis temporibus, aren't they all in ablative?

Ah, that's not what I had in mind either. :) In Serbian we say 'Vi' to someone when we are polite and respect that person - apart from the meaning 'you' in plural. I suppose there isn't such thing anyway. :) The thing is that my class was going to give our Latin teacher a present and we wanted to write something like 'Your first IV-1', so I just wasn't sure if it'd be 'Tuum Primum IV-1' or something else. Are you also learning Ancient Greek? Oh, and I asked one question in the Latin group, but no one seems to have seen it yet. I was having problems with this sentence: Id quia naturali ordine statis temporibus fiat, et sciri ante et praedici posse. Thank you for your help and request. :)

Yeah, I got that - the person who is sending the letter is in nominative and the one who receives in dative. Thanks. :) Though I had in mind something like...hmm...do you sometimes say wy in Polish when talking to one person?

May I ask you a question? Was there a formal way of addressing people in Latin?

Heh, The Latin Library and Bibliotheca Augustana appear to be loaded with texts in Latin, indeed. :D Thanks for mentioning them. :) Yeah, I understand; never tried to learn Latin online either. Just sounded easier than attempting to explain the declension/conjugation on one's own. ;) Good that we started this discussion, anyway. :)

Thanks. :) Yeah, it is a shame. And people who join simply don't seem to have an idea about what to do to participate. :/ Well, glad you want to keep the leadership. :D Perhaps you know of some good websites which will be of use to the new members interested in learning some basics, so you might want to post them. ;) Heh, I simply deleted the profile myself, since I thought I was spending too much time here, but then I came back - life wasn't the same without last.fm. ;)

Oh, I meant just to ask if I could do anything, like invite people in or try to revive the threads. ;) If you don't want to be the leader anymore, click on 'More' and there's an option 'Abdicate', if I recall well, but you can keep the leadership unless you are really busy. :)
