I'm glad to hear that. Well, sorry if I was going too far with my criticism. I could be very annoying, but this period is over. Now I'm more easy going. I came to a conclusion, that there is no point in judging the art. There is no such thing like good art not bad art. There is just art. All art critcism is pointless, all award giving for art is pointless - like the Oscars. Art is a matter of individual taste. The only thing that is worth discussion is what particular some piece of art has to offer or what inpired the author to do it, what skills he/she uses etc. There is only question whether something is art or not and this should be more strict. E.g. I wouldn't call SOAD, Slipknot, LP art, they're all industries. I haven't changed my mind on that. One may call some art primitive, but it absolutely doesn't mean it's bad.

I am not a scenester. I can honestly say that I don't care what's popular, but that I listen to what I want to in order to expand my musical tastes- which definitely need expanding. I might listen to Amon Amarth one day and A Perfect Circle the next, as long as I actually like it.
Right now, I like melodeath and power metal (mainly extreme power metal).
HOW IT WORKS:
I keep a playlist that I listen to on random in Amarok. Each song is given a rating, 1 to 5 stars, and how often it comes up is based on the rating through Amarok's "Favor Higher Ratings" function. I constantly update the playlist and the ratings to reflect my taste, so my profile isn't totally worthless.
