A actual pop record.
What it is? You'll most likely ask.
Well it's Berlin - Animal
Animal sounds like a mid tempo dance remix of a good pop song
Nice to Meet You somehow reminds me of some stuff Kim Wilde did in the 2000s.
It's the Way first Ballad. I fear not the last...
With the Lights On this sounds like early 2000s Dido
Don't Make Me Regret It starts slow speeds up to mid tempo slows down again yda yada... one of the tracks to pop in and put your makeup on to
The Piano Intro to Blame It in the World is very nice.
Secrets feels like electroclash meets italo-disco in a very bouncy way.
Break the Chains somhow reminds me of the slow songs on 1998s Speed Ballads by Republica
Stand Up continues where the privious track left of
Somebody to Love and we have a winner. This Jefferson Airplane cover sounds like Republica teamed up with New Order.
This is the one track I'm most likely to use in a set.
Mom Ballad #2, this is pretty good love the lyrics
Animal (Remix) Sounds like Duft Punk meets your neighbours dubstep remixing kid...
The production sounds pretty 90s (read not overcompressed).
Terri Nunn's voice in damn good shape.
Shame the killer track on here is a cover version.
All in all I would loved this record if it came out in the late 90s or even early 2000s.
Don't get me wrong it's a good record to have if you like 2000s Kim Wilde or slow Republica stuff but it's not what I'd call fresh for 2010s.
On the other and compared to the mainstream pop stuff that came out so far this year this is gold.
