    Funker Vogt
The new Funker Vogt rocks. I wasn't too sure at first but when I finally heard it loud and bass heavy my doubt was removed. It shows alot of good signs of growth I think, and Gerrit has been playing around with counterbeat alot it seems. Some of the counterbeats infact remind me of certain tracks off of Streets of Rage 2, and any music that reminds me of that game has a warm fuzzy spot in my heart.

That said, it's not perfect. Even though alot of songs have the delicious Funker Vogt fuck-me-hard bass hits, a couple songs waver a bit close to technoish. Good techno mind you, but since the whole rivethead scene is drifting towards redundant and overwashed play on noise nowadays this album probably won't meet those expectations.
  • Murcof

It begins to dawn upon me that Murcof is maliciously training my thoughts and seducing me to like it further to the day. Which is something I don't think would have been reasonable when I first started listening.
  • new Squaremeter- the frozen spark

The new Squaremeter is a big change, or perhaps it's just a refreshing break for mister Panacea. The fact that it's been hardly a year since the last new Squaremeter album makes it hard to be upset about the change in direction.

Playing the Frozen Spark feels like floating through a dark Squaremeter dream. I recognize alot of the samples from nearly all the earlier albums, so it's almost kind of like a disturbed reunion of sorts. If there are dark evil Yoga people, this is the music they would play while they do their excercises.

I was pretty turned off at first by the huge Lustmord likeness to it, but I've come to find it's awesome working/reading music. Whereas Lustmord usually gets me in the mood to be hung from a ceiling in a rusty jail cell. So long as Panacea doesn't stick too long around the heavily dark ambient genre I'll be pretty satisfied with this album.Squaremeter
