Interesting! Out of my 1400+ friends, you are the one (by far) who listens to Paul Whiteman the most. No idea what that portends...

Bonsoir C.P. and thanks for "Womble-Cropped"! An instant favourite like the ones mentioned below. Quite representative for many hours of beautiful music from the Webbed Hand label. Good job on the profile page conception, too. I'm wondering what sort of "decoration" my collection might offer... I'm gonna browse through it next weekend.

Bonjour C.P., great to hear there will be (still) more of your music soon. The "Hasenpfeffer" release quite reminds me of some of my favourite Biosphere tracks - but with the unobstrusive, contemplative trademark sound that is Webbed Hand's. As for the "Rain" series, I think the concept itself is a beautiful idea already. I'm always looking forward to the next album. By the way, that's an interesting top artist gallery above. You seem to be very fond of b/w guitarists!

Bonsoir C.P., just wanted to drop by to thank you for all your efforts with Webbed Hand! I've found some spectacular gems at your label. Meanwhile, your own music has become an essential part of my collection. Albums like Djinnestan's "Hasenpfeffer" or Drone Wallah's "Rain 1" are perfect examples of that certain intelligent, musing ambient sound that can really enrich your everyday life. Keep it up!

Yeah, I noticed that when I listen to Synth music (Any kind), most people don't understand (Their loss). I listen to Synth music almost 100% of the time. Over the years I found, there is Synth music for whatever mood I'm in. Although I do have a soft spot for Dark Ambient & Experimental music.

Anyhow, it is good to have made your acquaintance. Finally, I would like to point you toward bullofheaven.com - the dark ambient project of a friend of mine. Given the nature of your label, you might find some tracks there enjoyable.

A few years ago I discovered music on the Internet. Now I'm banned from playing music at parties. Thanks Internet! In all seriousness, I love the fact that almost every taste is catered for by netlabels, as I so often do my best to try to convince people. My radio show, back when I was at university, became increasingly geared toward netlabel music until eventually I ditched everything else and focussed solely on music found freely and legally online. I plan to start making this into a podcast, once I can get it together to do so, so will let you know if and when this happens. I remember playing an extract from Marco Lucchi's "I found an - insoluble, indefinite - ear" on one of my mid-term shows, as part of a feature called "Big Things Small Things", where I'd play the longest and shortest tracks I owned that fit the given week's theme. I believe the theme that week was "Music with Ears".

Sobre mim

I am a visual artist as well as a recording artist. I've produced 40+ albums, and I'm also head of the netlabel Webbed Hand Records, which specializes in experimental, ambient and abstract electronica recordings, and especially CD-length long-form works.

For my recording projects I use the names Saluki Regicide, Djinnestan (with Aria Nadii aka Oil of Haemony), Akashic Crow's Nest, Tree Helicopter, Rowboat Magicians, Drone Wallah, Ice Guild Kaiser, and occasionally I have various collaborations and things recorded in my own name, C.P. McDill.
