I took my sister to see Panic at the Disco in Austin last year...the opening acts (Motion City Soundtrack and Phantom Planet) were almost better than them though. Emo bands like that are a guilty pleasure of mine. Plus I got the super sexy lead singer of Phantom Planet's autograph, so that was fun. LOL. And I just got back from Austin today...I saw a country band called The Randy Rogers Band the first night I was there just for the heck of it with my cousins. Big mistake...they weren't technically bad, I just REALLY didn't like the music. Living in Texas you can't escape country music, no matter what. :p And I actually share your fear about college...not really for this year (since I'll be at home) but for next year when I move to UT. The traffic is crazy (I don't like driving) and I'm scared of not belonging too. And if you don't have anyone to talk to ever...you'll have a little internet buddy to talk to if you want, if that helps a little bit. :)

And real life should always take precedence over the internet. :p I'm glad you had fun. :) And yes, concerts are fun ,but pretty painful, so always make sure you wear comfortable shoes. I wore cute little ballet flats to both of the ones I've been to recently and regretted it. haha. I've never heard any My Lady Peace...what do they sound like? That's good that they held up live...it'd be a letdown if a band you liked wasn't that good. Oh, and I want to go to UT because they have a very good political science program and the Lyndon B. Johnson Public Service school for graduates. :) Austin, TX is a great place to go for someone who wants to get involved in politics, especially if you're more liberal. Plus I have family there too so I'd have adventure and familiarity at the same time. :)
