So, not even kidding I read that article already. I can't honestly remember where I found it, but I read it shortly after the show. I remember it specifically because I really liked the first picture and the last line. And, I didn't come from far at all, I live in Philly. My friend even picked me up so I didn't have to worry about dealing with SEPTA or anything, luckily. I don't know if I could call this my favorite show (I'm sure this has a lot to do with the fact I wasn't standing in the pit) but it was definitely top 5. I'm glad I saw them from afar the first time, because with a band so large, there's no way you could hear everything unless you're at least a decent way back. I found that to be true especially for when there's multiple percussionists/drum sets. My favorite so far has to be the Flaming Lips, I'm not even a huge fan of their music, but they are really just incredible performers. I will be seeing the Arcade fire again, that's for sure.

I did!! I loved them, I was so excited to see them that I couldn't even really pay attention to spoon beforehand (which sucks because I wanted to see them). But I've been waiting to see the Arcade Fire since I heard/fell in love with Funeral back in 2005. After their tour for Neon Bible ended, I swore to myself that I would see them even if they were as far as Chicago. Luckily, they played in Philly so I didn't have to go far! haha. I was extremely happy with everything they played (despite the fact they didn't play My Body is A Cage) and I liked everything they played on the new album. I made a point to not listen to any of the songs until I heard some played live, and I'm really happy I did it that way. I'm assuming you went, what did you think? p.s. I see Deadmau5 in your top tracks, I went to Bonnaroo this year and went to his show. (!!!!!!!!) If the tickets for his shows weren't so expensive I would go every chance I got.

I haven't signed into here since December, apparently. I had Laura Marling on your mix you'll get in a few years from disappointed you found her before I had a chance to tell you. Look at our compatibility though! Who knew we'd ever be sitting on rocking chairs in friends-ville?

haha, I asked myself the exact same question... and I agree completely, some bands need better names. Wavves and Lovvers are essentially the same in my mind, haha. What’s next, a band called Knivves, or something similar to that? haha p.s. I'm going back to croc rock tomorrow; wish me luck, haha... I still hate that place.

Yes! That's what I mean. I do too. The descriptions are very authentic. They seem what you want to write, but having the journo in you, you have to suppress it or say it more succinctly. Anyway, I wanted your opinion on the Langhorne Slim one. Do you think it's cool that the writer tells us what Sean Scolnick believes and feels? It's less like a review, which is journalism, than the others to me.

Do you ever go to Daytrotter and read the mini profiles for the artists?

Yeah, the pictures along with the interview were excellent... and it's really great that he was so considerate in answering your questions. That doesn't always happen very often, haha. Cycling is always fun, whether it's competitive or leisurely, if it gets your from point a to point b, you're good, haha. Jukebox the Ghost is pretty cool, I think I'm interviewing them too...Their upcoming album has to be great, haha. If you do go, we should definitely meet up. Croc Rock is terrible. Unfortunately, it's the only venue that's somewhat close to my house. I seem to live close to the middle of nowhere, surrounded by corn fields, so it's a little over an hour drive for all the shows I go to in Philly. At croc they attempted to kick me out of the venue because they "misplaced" the band's guest list that I was on...and then they kicked me out of the front barrier because it was "too dangerous" once they finally let me in... I spent the rest of my night sitting on top of the bar, haha.

I just read the article and I loved it... Pretty insightful interview. Yeah, I do concert and cycling photography. I started out with cycling stuff, because I used to be a competitive cyclist and I had to quit due to health problems. It seemed like a huge set back at first, but I decided to take up photography more seriously... At the moment, I know for a fact that I'm going to Free Energy's concert at the church on the 28th and Stars on June 3rd, and I'm going to Thrice's concert at this venue called Croc Rock in Allentown on the 22nd, I believe it is. It's my least favorite venue, I actually really hate it, but Bad Veins asked me if I would go to that concert after I interviewed them at their concert with Frightened Rabbit, so I might as well go, haha. There are probably some more, but none of them are 100% confirmed yet. What concerts do you have coming up?

yeah i totally love the new goldfrapp, but i love some of each of her albums--i understand many people are like diehard supernature fans and think everything else is subpar. i do love supernature but i think every album has something to offer, and the new one has more than, say, felt mountain for instance. she's just amazing. listening to phantogram, loving it so far. seeing the shout out louds and freelance whales on tuesday! will have to look up frightened rabbit.

I checked out both sites, and the content's really great! I can't wait to see your interview with Scott posted, I'll definitely check it out. I interviewed Bad Veins and Erin of Maps & Atlases at the concert. It was quite last minute when M&A's publicist contacted me, I didn't really plan on going to the concert until I got an email from them, haha. I haven't been doing this for too long, just pretty much started with it this year, writing for Basically I do interviews, a few concert reviews and concert photos. I've interview, Miike Snow, Delorean, Surfer Blood, Los Campesinos!, some cool stuff like that... I started out with just doing cycling and concert photography, and I'm just kind of building off of that. Hopefully I'll start writing for some other publications in the near future.
