It's ON for Tuesday. I'll call you Monday so we can work out a time (the earlier, the better) and such. I'll also map the locations we're visiting. Primal Scream supposedly has 3 worthwhile albums: Screamadelica, Vanishing Point, and XTRMNTR. Vanishing Point is by far my favorite, a sort of combination of the noise grind of XTRMTR and the hippy vibe of Screamadelica. I also go through periods of finding their 2000 release Evil Heat fascinating, though everyone else hates it. Primal Scream was a little old to do raw synthy guitar rock after being on the scene 20 years, but if you use a little imagination and pretend Evil Heat's from the 60s it's pretty damn cool. And evil, assuming they're not the same thing.

Thanx there's a band called Yukon Blonde going into rotation later today be sure to check it out. Yeah Pitchfork said A Chorus For Storytellers' sin was being "merely pretty music" I thought it was unabashedly beautiful myself, especially the opening cluster of tracks. When I first listened to it I thought it was an indie band dabbling in post-rock, but later I found out post-rock was actually their respective genre, which makes the album slightly less cool (as in Califone cool) but it is an excellent album. No I haven't seen The Fountainhead. Isn't it about architecture? Yes, I'm too lazy to type two simple words into Wikipedia.

Awesome, I'm all ears. Also it's neat you're on the radio station, my brother did that up at Tech too... Haha, which is how I have a lot of my stuff, come to think of it. Please, if you have anything to recommend it would be greatly appreciated! Ambient's one of my favorite genres.

I think it's written somewhere in the Hindu scriptures that if you accumulate too much bad karma you'll be reincarnated as a sheep that bounces on its gut all day :P

Oh, Funeral is good, it's just that I get bored of it at around track five. Neon Bible keeps me going because I know "My Body is a Cage" is going to be there at the end.

Sobre mim

Recommend music to me, and I'll bake you cupcakes. And probably decorate them.

Common descriptors:

Instruments I tend to like in music:
cellos (love.)
pianos (esp. in hip-hop)
synths (so long as there's sufficient bass)
jangly guitar
a good voice (can't stand anything nasal sounding, unless the rest is incredible)

I hate Animal Collective with a fiery passion, rivaled only by my hatred for Nickelback. Damn godforsaken retrospective waste of a pop/rock band.
