Jul 13 2008, 22h03
We are pleased to announce the launch of Last.fm on the iPhone and iPod Touch! Sam Steele, our iPhone development army of one, has been cranking away at a full blown Last.fm app on Apple’s mobile platforms for months now and the results are nothing short of insanely great.
Read the rest of the official announcement over at the Last.fm blog and grab Last.fm from the iTunes Store (US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, and Spain for now).

Ok! please tell me more about how the ipod touch will work? So, I download the lastfm to ipod touch, and everything on my profile which is on my computer will be on my ipod? And can I work from my ipod like i`m doing on the computer? Like look at a tag and will the ipod bring up all the bands in that group!

To listen to your Last.fm library on your iPod Touch you would tap the "Last.fm" icon on the iPod and then tap My Library, or start a new station by entering a tag or artist name.

Can I scrob a new song and will a icon show up to like me add to my playlist? Or only this can be done on my computer? Also a icon to pick in a tag for the track like on the computer?

Tagging and adding to your playlist will be coming in a future version.

No, it doesn't. If you click the blog link mentioned in this journal entry you can watch a video that demonstrates all the features of the iPod application.

I just like to know I`m thinking on get ipod touch here. So, the site tells me I need 2.0 firmware to work the lastfm? Does the ipod touch have that upgrade already or was that for teh people that bought the old ones?

c99koder escreveu:
It depends on where you buy it from. If you buy a brand new iPod from Apple, it will have the latest firmware. If you buy a used or refurbished iPod then you should ask the seller if it has the upgrade or not.
