Jesse Malin - Carling Islington Academy

Anyway … then it was Tuesday night. Brian Viglione had emailed me during the day to let me and Dave know that our passes were on the door and that he'd meet us outside the venue. I met up with Dave and Joe Black outside, and we sat on the cold concrete chatting [there's something special about The Dresden Dolls' fans - I've made so many friends through this band!] - Brian popped his head out to say he'd be a bit longer - so we sat and chatted more. Then he dived out, we all got huge hugs, and we went off for noodles. I felt bad for ixny'ing his idea of going to Wagamamas, but I fucking HATE Wagamamas. I've just never had a decent meal in there. I'm sure their food is better for meat eaters than veggies. So we went to Gourmet Buffet - an eat all you can noodle bar - which was actually really nice. Apparently the fried bananas rocked but I wasn't convinced enough to try them!

After eating Dave quickly grabbed a few photos outside - Brian jumped into Dave's and Joe's arms respectively, I can't wait to see those photos! I always look crap in photos, but here are the ones of my photos with Brian:

I was so nervous about meeting him and I have no idea why. He's just such a sweet guy.
And it was wonderful seeing him drum again. I'm not a huge fan of Jesse Malin, he's not really my kind of thang, however he was interesting to shoot, and I was really enjoying a lot of it … he is certainly charismatic - however there were the talky bits; they bored me a tad!
