You may already know this, but Faster Than Snakes was meant to be on the follow up to Guns before studio problems led to them scrapping a whole album worth of material (or so Tim said...). Never listened to Split Enz. I'll give their first album a go sometime soon.

Well..... it's never been a favourite of mine, but it is the most distinctly in yer face rock album of theirs. I still don't think there's a bad song on it, but i do find it a bit samey compared to other albums. Then again, Cardiacs doing samey hardly makes them sound like AC/DC. Guns is similarly maligned for being a bit less intense and i can usually see why people would say that even though i love it dearly.

It has to be Sing To God for me, it's got everything, but they are all amazing once you 'get' them. On Land... is the high point of their 80's recordings imo and sounds a bit less prog and a bit more 'trippy psychedelic carnival' if that doesn't sound too stupid :-o. I'd say unless you start with Archive or Rude Bootleg you can't go far wrong.

It's a classic. It's just written by Harmony. but, it's still amazing.

I've heard of Brazil. I need to see it. I need to get cough up on weird movies. I've been on a disturbing movies kick for a long time.

Yeah, it's a good one. It almost made the list. There's also The Rum Diaries also staring Depp, I haven't seen it. And Where the buffalo Roam with Bill Murray. Which are all about Hunter S Thompson. also I would recommended checking out Harmony Korine stuff. He directed gummo. He's may favorite director ever.

No, I'll have to check it out. I love experimental movies. Here's my top 50 movies: A lot of the top 30 are weird/experimental.

Have you seen Naked Lunch? It's like Lynch movie. It's surreal and weird as hell. I don't fully understand it though.

No, I haven't seen them all. But, I still consider myself a big fan of his. Eraserhead is my favorite hands down. Then Lost Highway. I also seen the TP movie, but before I saw the show, so, I didn't understand it at all. I like his short movies a lot too.

Yes! I finally checked out Twin Peaks like a week ago. I'm almost done with the last session. I can't believe it took me so long to watch it. I love David Lynch.

He's worked with Les Claypool a lot. They did a project with the keyboardist from P-Funk called Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Brernie Brains. It's really great, they only had one album.
