Well, you can find it here http://anthony.liekens.net/pub/scripts/last.fm/eclectic.php The guy who made it explains all the algorithms. Actually i just checked, and my score has dropped to 77/100. I guess i listen to too much ska punk now :P

Oh I wasn't implying anything about you, don't worry. I'm currently in the process of burning all my music to my new external HDD while I'm at home. When I've done that AND played it all I might just have a representative Last.fm profile.

I really, really liked the M83 remix. It sounds like a classic Spooky remix from 1993. I'm never sure what the cut-off point is with these things, though, especially on big releases. Most people who wanted to hear Involver 2 have already done so, so I'm writing for the late comers, the future generations and people who just want to hear my view on it. Is that a productive decision? Regarding the chart, I was going to add it and then I read your Danish chum's comment. Suddenly, displaying my Open Mindedness seems less like super-fun-happy statistics and more like showing off.

Yep. I've been meaning to cover Vibrasphere for a long time, but it's just never happened for whatever reason. I'm also wondering whether it's gone past the point of being productive to review Involver 2. A slew of university assignments killed off any chance of a quick review on that one. I also like this pie chart thing you've got. I reckon I'll be having a slice of that.

Well, I don't agree with you in that you have to dig really deep. Theres often a reason that the bands that get popular get to be popular and that is simply that theyre good. You can easely enjoy a genre just by listening to the pioneers of it (not copycats), afterall, bands who are popular may have been "indie" sometime in the past. But of course, some of the not-so-popular stuff can also be pretty great.. Its just harder to find :)

You need to expand your music taste, an omr of 34 is pretty low :P But kudos for actually being one of the first guys to have "very low" comptability with me :)

A mix? Sounds like a good idea. I'd have to plan it carefully first... and I'd want to incorporate the oldskool early 90s sound, the mid-late 90s, sound, the early 00s sound, and the modern sound. Damn, this is going to be hard. Alternatively, I could do one set from each era. I don't know. I DJ live often, and you can catch me on internet radios playing breaks tracks with Daft Punk on top, as well as hardcore.

Blue Monday isn't a weird old track, it's a classic of electronic pop! The outro where it becomes all sweeping and ethereal is quite brilliant.

Hm. yeah. I still enjoy the non-rave stuff, I just like the rave music more. And I have trouble listening to those full 20-min tracks...

Last.fm only scrobbles what I play on my computer. Since I live away from home most of my music collection is (or was) housed on my Creative Zen, for which there is no scrobbler. So don't take my Last.fm page as a comprehensive account of my tastes! It is a weird old collection of music though. I never thought I was particularly eclectic myself.

A closet raver. I live in a suburb in the USA. I just like the music :)

It´s quite bizarre to find out that we´re considered as 2 of the 5 people in Last FM that listen to Pablo Bolivar most... Continue listening to him! Bye!
