I have a feeling Arsonists get all the girls probably have an average age of 14, I expect there's a name for it now but it's kind of thrash metal with the occasional bit of pop keyboards thrown in. I really like them. If you can find some I highly recommend Guitar Gabriel. The cd I have was recorded when he was a washed up incontinent drunk on his death bed. Absolutely fantastic though.

Only heard of Les Rallizes recently (an article with Thurston Moore saying that he has been trying desperately to get them to play a gig). They are utterly amazing though. If he does pull it off I think I will do almost anything to make sure I'm there.

I'll be seeing MC5 at the weekend, got given a ticket for this at the last minute, an amazing line up and the reason I haven't bothered going to see wolf eyes tonight http://www.atpfestival.com/events/nightmare/line_up.php

    R. Stevie Moore then Merle Haggard , followed by My Bloody Valentine and finally topped off by the Boredoms! Very nice.

Only heard sunburned hand for the first time the other day, but that was pretty special too. No-neck blues band seem to be getting quite a bit of attention over here at the moment, so hopefully they'll be getting bigger still.

To be honest I dozed of to that No-neck blues band album last night. What I remember of it is really good though, lots of maqam style influences which worked really well - that kind of thing often just ends up sounding like pretentious art school nonsense. Probably my favourite band of the moment.
