I've been wondering these past few days about the music that I listen to.
If you head over to my profile page, you'll find Utada Hikaru's album DEEP RIVER, ULTRA BLUE, First Love, and her SINGLE COLLECTION VOL. 1 all over my profile. Not to mention all the KOTOKO, singles that have been going around lately with YUI, Lia, Yuria, Kawada Mami, Ayumi Hamasaki, NIRGILIS, MOSAIC.WAV, Makino Yui, yozuka*, UNDER17, SOULHEAD, Yuki Kajiura, ICHIKO, CooRie, Ayane, Eiko Shimamiya, Inoue Marina, Itou Eri, Poppins, Okui Masami, Oshima Hiroyuki, Katakiri Rekka, Orihime Yozora, AiAi, I've or I've Sound, Uura Saeka, KOY, 奥井雅美, Yuria Yato, noboko, Jyukai, Fm.Theta, BRACE;d, abingdon boys school, Aya Hirano, Minori Chihara, Yuuko Gotou , CLOVER and others that I prefer not to mention since this is about to become a Japanese promotional journal at this rate.
I mean, just for a few of them, most of these artists that I listen to are all females. FEMALES!!
I know that we males can't live without them, but this is a little too much…
Why can I not listen to Gackt, COOLON, JUNE or even Jin a little more often…
If I were to overclock my brain for a second and process this, I believe it was Anime that made me start with this Jap Music Troll.
What do you think?
Don't you think that there are a lot of Anime OPs and EDs that have a female as the vocalist.
Even this Anime I was watching today has Suara singing Musou Uta as the OP and Kawai Eri singing Madoromi no Rinne as the ED.
Even her name has cute in it… lol…
Or even the new series Hayate no Gotoku! has none other than KOTOKO herself singing the self titled Anime single Hayate no Gotoku! [ハヤテのごとく！] and MELL [IT IS MELL!!!] singing the new single Proof!!
GREAT ARTISTS!! GREAT SINGLES!! JUST FOR THIS SERIES!!
AND THEY ARE BOTH FEMALES ONCE AGAIN. Even though I can't complain since I did want to hear a new song from KOTOKO anyways. She's so cool and I love her voice so bad and… oh… almost went on for too long there…
Anyways… You tell me about it…
What hooked you up with Japanese Music as a regular must on your playlists?
Was Anime playing an important part in that as well, or was it that hot foreign student that came over your house to pay a visit.

Don't leave me in a limbo, or I'll keep listening to Utada Hikaru for more centuries to come.
