Did you read this article? http://www.hipsterrunoff.com/2010/11/im-back-deakin.html I found it most amusing, mainly because such artist pretentiousness is something I don't see coming from any of the members of AC.

I think you will enjoy this: http://www.last.fm/music/Animal+Collective/_/Daily+Routine+%28Phaseone+Remix%29 The part that starts at 2:00 kills me. It just yearns to be blasted from a car while night-driving. (As you can probably tell, I'm a sucker for natural highs like speed/high velocity and loud music.) Also, I recently heard the BoC track "Everything You Do is a balloon" and it reminded me of how little spelunking I have done with BoC's lesser known albums/eps/etc. Do you have any recommendations for songs not on campfire headphase or music has the right to children?

The UW group page is funny because in addition to listening to AC, Arcade Fire, and LCD Soundsystem, they also listen to Lady Gaga, which I think is hilarious.

I think that picture is from an ad they did for PETA: http://www.peta.org/feat-Seal-Animal-Collective.asp The video's in the middle of the page there. While I appreciate the gesture, I can also tell they know next to nothing about the actual issue.

At your leisure check out the new song I put up for Sirpent. I swear I never meant for "Porl" to become a drum and bass song. Oh well.

Man, he's something wonderful "Portrait Of The Artist As A Fountain" reminds me of the music Philip Glass would have made if he were a weirdo pop singer in addition to being a classical composer. Where/how did you hear about him?

Oh I've already decided I love her music. I'll probably never see her perform live, but I'm still going to hope I can, somehow. Well I've uploaded what will be the last Sirpent song for some time (the next two months). The new one "Sun Back" turned out happier than anticipated, which isn't a good or bad thing but just what happened. Thanks for checking out the songs. Hopefully I will want to continue the habit of music next semester.

I'm still on the fence with St. Vincent. I mean, she IS gorgeous, but something tells me she would carve her name into your skin while making out with you, or cover the walls with your blood while you were sleeping. I guess I'm saying St. Vincent on medication would be the best of both worlds.
