Fri 29 May – Artmospheric Festival

After the long 5 hour trip from Plovdiv to Svoge in the rain we have encountered the first obstacle in our course - the bumpy road from Bov to Chemernik. I'm still getting thrills when I remember about this :) However the mighty Rover 200 does not abandoned us as the sun did for two cold and wet days.

As soon after we built our camp we found out that trx is lost in the fog so we've attempted a rescue mission. Luckily it was successful thanks to my expert logistic skills :) and the decision to not get high so soon after we have arrived.

And yes... there was mud :) A lot of it. However this minor issues does not stop us from enjoying the campfire with some goblet drums, didgeridoo and of course the nice music selection from both stages. (There were a little too much of a plain 4/4 techno drum patterns but no biggie :-)

We've met really nice and positive people around the fest despite the weather. I still don't know their names because nobody introduce himself but this is certainly not the case here, because everyone was in survival mode.

I was able to remain relatively dry after the first night thanks to some extra socks :) and some water management using few plastic bags - I am sorry to say this in front of the eco-activists but we found the synthetics rather useful that night ;)

On the next day we have all been wet and muddy. A lot of us decided to leave and it was depressing since you feel that all your available options are reaching zero. Me and my buddies were stuck in the local hut after we tried to find something better to eat. With the most rude housekeeper ever! Where is the high-mountain hospitality? However we've met a guy from Denmark who was rolling a joint and we've decided to join and help him roll a bigger one. I mean.. it is raining everywhere so f*ck this shit :D

Still wet but stoned... our desire to survive escalated and soon we were back to the front stage at the foggy idm afternoon where trx, polygon ring and lackluster did their best to split the clouds for us to rest for a while. And they did. The rest of the evening was still cold but much more energetic after the rain was gone.

At the last day the Sun dried the whole place and without a single cloud in the sky the most hardcore fans were rewarded with the unique beauty of the Balkan mountains. A beauty so divine which can prove that Heaven is just another place on Earth to the last skeptic. Still this came with a harsh price but it was definitely worthy.

I would like to thank artmospheric.org crew and their cooperatives for making this event possible and for letting me gig at second stage. :-)
