how come people generally just listen to music that doesn't require thought to listen to, even people on last.fm, /mu/, and rym? even in communities where music is actually appreciated people still don't appreciate the music that actually takes thought to appreciate. most people would rather turn on an album and get whisked away to fairy land where all their problems are taken away. kind of shallow, like a drug trip or something. that is all those people want to do is have shallow meaningless highs off their music. I want to explore music and develop a deeper understanding of it and myself in the process. I don't care about the vapid things that most music listeners care about. what is the true music?

Bit of a longshot, i don't suppose you have Körkarlen - Zeroana Akerne in mp3 form. doesn't seem to be available anywhere on the internet and i'd really like to hear it. if you do have it and wouldn't mind uploading it somewhere i'd be extremely grateful. thanks

I remember you asking me on MA's forum a couple weeks ago what I thought of El-Ahrairah's new demo, and having heard it I can now safely say that it's quite stellar stuff. Mind you, my experience with the band's earlier material is very limited, but this particular release is amazing - comfortably raw, excellent riffs going on, and some really awesome vocals going on behind them. I'd advise you to pick up a copy if you haven't gotten one, I heard A Terre's running low on them.

To answer your question from the shoutbox on the SpaceRock, Ambient, Synth, Progrock group, the album cover is Hawkwind's "Warrior on the Edge of Time"

well since their early and later sound is very different, i recommend checking out both "the big come up", their debut album, which is like really raw rhythm and blues, and "el camino", their latest album, which is more produced and polished.

Enjoyed the songs overall, but I really liked the Korkarlen track the most. Will check out The Angelic Process song in later

Currently listening to the Korkarlen track you posted (enjoying it so far), and I'm thinking if you're into ambient soundscapes, you should check out the album Ravedeath, 1972 by Tim Hecker (imagine you're the last person on Earth after an apocalyptic nuclear war, and this would be your soundtrack).
