    Yes, I am well aware. But you have to admit there being some cultural reference points that make these three nations more related than the others, the language of course, but also history and tradition. So if we for a moment assume that it’s not a coincidence that I haven’t found much German music that I like, but rather that there are some elements in German culture that make them, taken as a whole, rather inharmonious, you would assume that these elements have an even stronger presence in nations like Austria and Switzerland, that at least outside of the German culture sphere give the impression of being heavily bound up by tradition. Of course this is not a completely serious discussion; I don’t really believe that Germans don’t have rhythm. I have been shaking it lose to great stuff in Berlin, and I love Dschinghis Khan, Klaus Doldinger and Bayon :)
