It does feel good! But now I'm getting university stuff all sorted out and the future intimidates me a little... I'm going to visit the campus for the FIRST time next week hahaha, such a gamble to accept the offer without even knowing the atmosphere of the place. Oooh I know what you mean about summer feeling dead... actually mine hasn't been too bad because I went to see my first concert (!!) and visited my relatives :) Still, there are times when I get really unmotivated and just don't know what to do with myself... Your job sounds pretty cool, does that mean you get to watch fireworks blow up all the time, or do you just sell them to people? hehe.

Hey! Actually, exams have been finished for a while and I graduated last Saturday, all in one piece :D So what's new with you?

Hahaha you are very right about me being a right-brainer, it's funny because I underwent an IQ-ish test recently that pegged my right side as overwhelming my left... not one of those stupid Facebook quizzes LOL, a legit psychological test. But right now I feel like I have NO brain after writing hours of exams, thank goodness my last one was today!! FREEDOM IS NEAR. Maybe it's too early to tell whether graduating will change my attitude towards life, but I have a feeling it will. Looking back right now, my past feels like a kind of blur, so I hope that this huge change will make me face reality and get some focus... Ooh, yay for O-Fink! Glad to help you find exciting music... that I've never even heard, go figure. I only know two songs by her band Azure Ray and neither of them are on that album! So I'll trust your taste and check it out, gotta love how the recommendation tables have turned!

Thank you :):) Next year I hope to be studying Journalism! I guess I did rightfully earn my place, even though I haven't been doing my very best this year in terms of marks... I've had two exams already, English which went really well :D and World Issues which wasn't so hot. I'm especially nervous for General Science, just because the course is kind of random... it's was all little research assignments and we've barely had any tests this year... so it's hard to know what to really study for. Ick. Congratulations on having graduated, one week left for me! I just bought my white dress yesterday :) It felt strange, to be at that point already... all through high school I've been waiting for it to end, but now the fear of the unknown is kicking in a little bit!

Lol haha, now I'm glad that I didn't waste time listening to them! I did think the previews on iTunes sounded reallly amateurish. The lyrics are moronic too, I looked them over and thought "were they drunk while writing this!??" I'm Not Your Boyfriend Baby made me chuckle though, just because some of the lines are actually so true of some people I know -_- Anyways I'm going crazy :| It's exam time and I'm gonna need a miracle to ace them. It's already puzzling enough how I got into the program on my choice at university, and I doubt I have that much luck left on me! AHHH! So I'm going to transform into a productive working machine for the next two weeks. Or at least try. That's QUITE an overhaul, if you know me... *bites pen*

Pffft, be not ashamed. It must be the summer, and I've always been one to give in to my guilty pleasures anyways... Britney Spears is in my top 20 after all -_- Hahaha, 3OH!3, I definitely have a love/hate thing going towards them! It grinds my gears how they're portrayed as being a LOT more genius than they actually are, ugh. But there's just something irresistible about Don't Trust Me, and their foolishness in general...

And a few more songs that have grabbed me lately; 'Bloodline' by Orenda Fink, 'The Fake Sound of Progress' by Lostprophets, and the ridiculously groovy 'Wolf Like Me' by TV on the Radio (warning: once it gets into your head, it's there to stay) Hope this beats Pandora!

oooh, well... Lately I've been listening to a LOT of Emilie Autumn. She's a really polarizing artist, writing both enchanting ballads with an edge and in-your-face industrial kitsch. Not for everyone but I love it <3 Definitely thinking you'd enjoy at least 'Chambermaid' and 'Swallow' and 'Castle Down', beautiful stuff... 'Ever' sounds really Fiona Apple-esque, and 'Misery Loves Company' is hilarious :D Also, The Vandals! I started listening to them today and they're awesome. High-energy humorous songs, they even did a cover of America, Fuck Yeah!

Exactly, I tend to be extremely skeptical about anything Pitchfork endorses... Hahah rough translators FTW, being somewhat able to decipher Danish CD reviews comes in handy :P Awesomeness of Google Language Tools aside, I will totally be your interpret for Indochine lyrics if you ask! 'Le grand secret' is really beautiful, loving it!! Especially since Melissa Auf der Maur sings on the track, have you ever heard of her? Used to be in Smashing Pumpkins and Hole before she went solo. Kickass voice & musician, though her lyrics don't always make sense but that doesn't matter ;)

Hahaha nice, which song was it? I had never given their music a chance either, so I searched for Fleet Foxes on IMEEM as soon as I read your message. White Winter Hymnal and Blue Ridge Mountain are very endearing! Don't know if I liked them enough to download, but I definitely liked them enough to stop wincing at their name lol. The thing is, it rubbed me the wrong way to see a slew of recent indie bands picking a cutesy animal-themed name as if they were planning to write a soundtrack for Bambi :| (the band Foals, another example) Pandora is awesome, I wish it wasn't blocked in Canada!! But still, I've actually been on a huge roll with discovering new music lately. PS: I'm thrilled to notice a french-language band in your top artists! :D Way to be cool. Will check out Indochine, I don't listen to enough music in my own mother tongue...

Sobre mim

My user name makes me feel icky inside. Please pretend it does not exist. Just call me Krysten. :)

Computer and piano based music is my favorite kind.
Basic guitar rock can be freaking cool too though.

Oh, and another thing....
I don't care if it's popular.
I don't care if it's not popular.
If I like it, I listen to it.

That is all.
:]

Say hello to my pet cupcake!
