I'm not sure if they played the entire album, new stuff was a big part of their set though, I liked most of it a ton. your right though about live being a compleatly different beast then studio...I cant wait either.

I was going to recommend The Field to you but it seems you already know it. What do you think?

Thanks for the compliment. :) I do enjoy Ladytron's sound immensely; but there's a definite line between their earlier experimental stuff (604/Light&Magic) and the newer, sort of darker industrial turn. Perhaps because of guidance from the NiN keyboardist on Velocifero, though I've heard it on Witching Hour too. It feels to me like in 604/Light&Magic they were like a rebel without a cause: fiercely passionate but widely varied. Since Witching Hour they've sort of chosen a 'theme' and stuck to it, throughout Velocifero. Another peeve of mine is that I felt sort of cheated out of Mira's strong, lucious vocals on Velocifero; Helen's voice is beautiful, but when the two sing in harmony it just sends shivers down my spine. Need more Mira.

Sobre mim

The musical odyssey began sometime in elementary school. The radio, KISS FM 97.3, indoctrinated gangsta rap into my young, pliable mind and my first CD was the Dangerous Minds Soundtrack in 5th grade. I flirted with Coolio and DMX for several years, until I found Insane Clown Posse. In ICP I found kindred spirits during those stormy middle school years. If only I had the cojones to paint my face like a clown. . .

One night, bored in my attic bedroom I gave a listen to the iTunes radio stations and for shits tried an electronica station, vaguely familiar with the foreign genre. Amid bad house and tired beats, I found Daft Punk "Around The World."

I never looked back. I decided that day electronica was for me.
