Three times? That's crazy! I've seen it just the once, but I can't stop thinking about it. Love Korine's films, but I doubt he'll ever make another film as explosive as Spring Breakers. Really impressed by Selena Gomez actually, didn't think she had it in her for a performance like that. And, Franco? I love the dude so much. "LOOK AT MY SHIT".

You liked Spring Breakers, right? I looooved it.

I agree with you completely. The violent brutality present in the novel is hard to transfer in any way, but I felt the film worked sufficiently enough for me, and with comparison to other adaptations of classic novels; it's one of the better ones. Jennifer Jason Leigh is remarkable in it.

Hey man, What is your opinion on the Last Exit To Brooklyn film? I watched it recently after finishing the book (which I enjoyed), and loved it.

I think it's really great! But I do think it's a little strange how the album changes sound after each section of three songs. For instance, the first three songs have a very similar sound to that of Loveless, and the last three songs are quite sonically separated due to the jungle-influence etc. That's my only gripe though.. It's a little incoherent, otherwise a fantastic release..

Hey man, I was wondering if you could help me out. I'm searching for a book covering horror films as a whole. I've been looking all over the place, but can't find a particular one that shouts out to me. Any suggestions if you've read anything? I assume you have, considering that analysis you did for The Shining awhile back. Thanks!

I finished The Demon the other night. It's brutal and fantastic. Ordered Last Exit To Brooklyn.

I think I understand what you mean there. It's definitely not Admiral or April but its different. There is humor and there is satire (sunshine in chicago, i know it's pathetic, track number 8, uk blues) and a bit of "memories-leading to pain-a bit agony-then acceptance-then calming down" (he's into 40s now ain't he) theme is there too. If I were to describe this whole album the feel with a phrase I'd say 'Tired soul'. I think that's what it is. It's not epic in sense of the last album (sam wong hotel, admiral, alesund...in fact every song of AFP) but I'm still grateful and I like it very much. PS: The song 'Young Love' just takes me someplace some beautiful place the moment i plug in. I just love this one.

It's really cool. King Fish & The Winery are the highlights, but I like UK Blues, which he played when I saw him last year. Solid stuff.

I really like it, yeah. Didn't have as much of an impact on me when I rewatched it the other night, but I still consider those last 40 minutes to be very tense and well choreographed.
