So, I saw Snow Patrol at the Ulster Hall in Belfast last night. AMAZING gig, far better than the last time I saw them, and they were pretty damn awesome then. They opened with Wow, then launched straight into Chocolate. Then, after a brief "hello, how are yez?" Beginning To Get To Me, after, Spitting Games, and a whole lot more awesome from there. It was an even number of stuff from Final Straw and Eyes Open, with only one song from When It's All Over We Still Have to Clear Up, An Olive Grove Facing The Sea, but they had some guy on stge with a trumpet to back them up ^_^
Highlights were Hands Open, in which Gary came down to the barrier to sing (there was a lot of touching. Especially by me.), Run (the crowd went MAD), and Open Your Eyes, where Gary had a little solo all of his own making at the end. Bless.
In short, fantasic night, not least cause I met the band and got autographs and pics with them and such ^-^ Every song was incredible, go see this band.

    Set List:
    Beginning To Get To Me
    Spitting Games
    Hands Open
    Grazed Knees
    Chasing Cars
    Shut Your Eyes
    How To Be Dead
    Olive Grove
    Make This Go On Forever
    Ways and Means
    You're All I have
    Open Your Eyes
    Tiny Little Fractures

We're a new group, small as yet. Like to think we have a fairly decently widespread musical taste, even though one band makes up approximately 50% of my personal listening *ashaméd*. But, we'd of course like to meet and talk to as many people as possible from pretty much everywhere and anywhere. Any musical taste is also cool, diversity is the awesomesauce. Jawsome you might say.
These are some artists we all seem to like in common here at the minute, feel free to chat in the forums so we can add to that though ^^,
    Comments appreciated!
(Especially ones from beautiful ladies, professing their undying love. Makes us feel all warm 'n' fuzzy, don't'cha know)
    Foo Fighters
    Snow Patrol
    Franz Ferdinand
Arctic Monkeys (well, one of us anyway)
    Johnny Cash
    Red Hot Chili Peppers
    The Cure
    The Divine Comedy

So, these are just a few. Personally, I heart every one of these bands. So chats about how awesom ethey are are nice, if y'know what I mean. On the other hand, if you don't like any of these bands, feel free to chat about that too!
    Don't be nasty though.
One of the members has a large appetite.
As long as there's a high meat content in there, it's good, if you catch my meaning *winks surreptitiously*.
  • Wow.

There are no words to describe last night's Foo Fighters concert. But I'll try anyways ^^,
    Where to start..
First, the first support act, Humanzi. They were..ok. That's all I can really say, I was just waiting to get to the next act.
Futureheads were pretty DAMN awesome. Best songs were hounds of love (of course) and man ray, the final song. They were good, but the crowd didn't really get going, we were all looking forward to the foos a bit too much.
Foo's set: First of all, for the final show of the tour, they pulled out ALL the stops for the stage. We had christmas trees and EVERYTHING. No-one else got those, so screw you people who saw them other places! They opened with In Your Honor, then followed with No Way Back, After that, things get a bit...hazy in my mind, so I THINK the rough order of the songs they played was:

    In Your Honor
    No Way Back
    My Hero
    Best Of You
    Times Like These
    Learn To Fly
    Up In Arms
    The One
    Have It All
    Stacked Actors
    Big Me
    Monkey Wrench
    Cold Day In The Sun
    All My Life

That's all they played, but the order is pretty much screwed after the first couple. Ah well.
Highlights? Pretty much all of it. But especially Best Of You (Yes that's right Martin it was bloody amazing) and Everlong. God DAMN It was good. It had the whole "slow and awesome" thing going on, until the quiet bit in the middle, when the rest of the band came back, Dave threw on the overdrive and they finished with the full LOUD rock version. And I can't forget Taylor's like 3 minute drum solo. Or Dave and Chris' duelling guitar solos either...
In short, best night ever ever ever ever ever.
Also, this is a shout out to the small girl who likes Futureheads a lot: my back will bear the marks of your elbows until I die.
Also hi to all the awesome random people we met, especially those from Cork whose names we can't QUITE remember, but are the only people EVER to like Belfast accent (wierdos ^^,), and also to Sara and Melissa from Kilkeel, who are also very awesome. But one of you has terrible terrible taste in music (apart from Foos), please god get that seen to. Also hello to that madman from Galway. Omaha beach, man. Omaha beach.

I'm pretty sure no-one will ever read this (but I'm constanly bored so feel free to tell me if you do) but just in case: get Foo Fighter's "In Your Honor" right the hell now. Just go out and buy it. Download it something if the shops are closed (but buy it later) but yes.
That is all I have to say.
I don't like empty spaces on this thing. They come up in little yellow boxes, which make me afraid and sometimes angry (as some people may already know), hence this, my being in a group and my actually tagging something.
Hay look superscript and subscript. I am easily amused.
