I am studying Physics with Astrophysics at York uni, but I'm from Kent. And yes, I basically do listen to music all day ;p

I'm always open to recommendations if you have one, but please check if I have already listened to it first. The only genres i'm not generally into are Punk, Emo stuff or Trance. Not a fan of new indie either ie: Florence + The Machine etc etc Everything else is ok! I can also try to do a recommendation or 2 for you, let me know if you want.

I don't really care that much about lyrics, I think bad lyrics can make a good song bad a lot easier than good lyrics make a bad song good. I'm mostly into instrumental stuff but it's not like I refuse to listen to lyrics. What I really love instead is when a song uses a sample from a film that I recognise (usually sci-fi in electronic music ;p) which can either be a vocal sample or little sound effect sample, or samples from an old song that I love as well.

My goal was to have listened to 10,000 artists on here, which I have now achieved. And yes, I have actually listened to 10,000+, never added an artist using the add button unlike so many other people who have mass artists in their library. (if you look at the end of my library you'll see only 1 artist with 0 plays and for some reason that won't scrobble). I say this because it's annoying to get messages from randoms along the lines of "OMG WHY ARE YOU MAKING THE CHEATINGZ PLZ". If you want to still waste 30 seconds of your life writing a message to me after reading this then is your loss.But anyway, going to take some time now to properly digest every band I listened to and liked, not to say i'm not still looking for new stuff because I am so keep those recs coming.



35,000 MP3s. Not too shabby for 1Mbit connection ;p I always buy the CDs / Vinyls I really like, but I don't really want to go back to the days of walking into HMV with a tenner and picking a CD at random, hoping for the best. Bought quite a lot of only semi-good albums back in the day ;p Never again.
