well , the thing that's putting me off is the trailer with the mohawk grey painted tribe? no recollection of such a tribe in deepest darkest Scotland personally during the Roman period? Maybe I am anal but I found that slightly annoying..

I had a look at the MDB tour schedule and was really surprised to see that they don't seem to be playing Scotland at all. Rubbish! PL is even worse...just London. Oh well :( I do indeed love archaeology and ruins. I'm a trained archaeologist so I'm lucky enough to have been able to dig lots of interesting stuff up. As for some nice ruins, Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire is really beautiful. Its the most complete abbey in the UK, I think. Whitby Abbey is amazing too. Peveril castle is lovely in Derbyshire. I love castles - I love the fact in the UK that we have so many old buildings still standing. Cxx

I love Bamburgh, awesome place and worth seeing the 'Beast' in the museum. We are returning later this year to re-visit and spend longer around Hadrians Wall, as it was Autumn when we last were there and the weather was terrible.

ah , I have read the Burning Land, and 3 others in the series! Very good they are too, and yes, a lot of the stories centre around here. I visited Bamburgh Castle last year or Bebbanburgh as Uhtred knew it!

Hi :) I'm ok thanks, how are you? I've never seen My Dying Bride before, I'm hoping to see them in Manchester. I love Paradise Lost - I'd love to see them in London but its just too far away and would cost too much :( Hopefully they'll do a UK tour soon and then us northerners can see them :) Cxx

Thanks for the add. Nice library. We do indeed have super taste :) I noticed you have Smoke Fairies in your top tracks. Did you get to see them on their recent tour? I was planning to but didn't get the chance in the end :(

Well, 'Like' or 'love' is an understatement for me when it comes to Agalloch. I kind of live and breathe them. I've heard Marrow, I think it's the heaviest album to date, and definitely the most melancholy. What do you think of it?

Ah, thank you Mr. E. You have quite the taste yourself! Haven't been on this site for a while now, but it's nice to get a comment of appreciation. ^^

About as many as I expected, given the lack of promotion that the tour has had. There were about 80-100 people, I'd say. It was quite a small, intimate venue though, which I liked. I do dream of seeing Dead Can Dance somewhere, someday. Ark is superb, isn't it?! Even better than his first one, I reckon.

Hi! Yes, I did see him last night and it was wonderful, I loved it. I believe there were some technical problems at Glasgow? We had that at Manchester too! Brendan's guitar was silent at the start of The Arcane and various instruments kept cutting out during A Passage In Time. Still, it would take a lot more than that to ruin a great night! I wasn't sure about the reworking of The Carnival Is Over at first, but by the end I was spellbound.
