Sorry, I actually saw Acid Bath in your list. However, thanks for your detailed suggestion. I'll surely check Novembre out :) I'm always looking for new bands too.

Regardless the kvltists are hypocrites, they complain about Alcest not being trve black metal when they play black metal - then the have the nerve to complain when Alcest dissidence them selves from the genre because they miss the black metal elements. I love black metal - but damn the fan base pisses me off sometimes.

Makes perfect sense, I agree with you. Now I may miss the black metal elements to an extent - but Neige knows what he is doing, he is still making beautiful music, the only real difference is Neige is fully aware of the whole post-rock/shogaze genre - were as before his own unique approach to black metal had a lot in common with the previous said genres. The Slowdive comparisons make sense though, they are Neige's favourite band. It's not a bad thing though, out of all the Shogaze bands of the 90's they were the best imo. Also I would have never dug into the scene if it was not for Alcest even if I was slightly awere of it. But despite this this new wave of black metal influenced shoegaze (blackgaze or whatever) that Alcest have spearhead is a much more interesting prospect if you ask me. It must be because there is a greater vision and belief behind bands like Alcest. In a way the jest of what you have already said.

There's no problem, thank you for the feedback and for recommending me a band :) I only heard of Novembre but I've never really listened to them so far. Would you suggest me any songs or records in particular? Anyway, I've noticed you enjoy Dax Riggs too, I totally love the way he sings! Do you know Acid Bath? He fronted them in the 90s, amazing stuff !! By the way, nice to meet you too.

They definitely are. It's great seeing a metal band fronted by a chick who can really sing but still hang with all the guys. The main thing I don't like about living here is that the most popular music here is screamo so we got a lot of pseudo-hardcore screamo bands. We get the occasional metal band but it's always something that has some kind of gimmick like Gwar. And don't even get me started on all the juggaloes here. Spokane really is a pretty shitty town. It's like a city with a small-town metality.

This tiny town in Washington. The closest big city to me is Seattle which is 4-5 hours away depending on how fast you drive and stuff. The main town I go to for concerts is Spokane which is about 30 minutes away or so. It's not too bad but we never get anyone really big. It's definitely improved the last 2 years or so. I got to see Lacuna Coil in July which was awesome.
