Man, loving that you put Spit It Out as a loved track. Such an anthem of a track! I usually end up singing along at the top of my voice.

Also, yeah, sorry, I meant to say I'd been checking the tracks, but I was in the UK when you sent a couple of them. Oddly enough, I'd listen to Zola Jesus a few times according to Lastfm, but didn't remember her. Must have been when I had the radio station on or something. She's pretty cool! I really enjoyed the Milagres one, as well! Even Luke loved that one when I forced him to listen to my 'Inbox'. Didn't get on with the Blake/Iver one, mind, sorry. Also, IAMX was on form last week in London. I gotta make sure I drag you to one of his gigs at some point.

I had the same first impressions of Dark Matter and Hollow, but after more intense listening even those two grew on me. Stick with it and see how you get on after a few more tries. But yeah, elsewhere she's pretty on the ball, I reckon. Sacrifice has grown on me big time lately. I thought it was boring at first, but now it captivates me, and makes perfect sense before Mutual Core. Still, even if those tracks don't grow on you, you can never accuse the lady of being boring, eh? :)

How you getting on with Björk's latest, man? It took me a fair few listens before it started making sense (and that's coming from me; the super fanboy), but now it's grown into one of the best - maybe even THE best - album I've heard this year. Mutual Core actually almost scares me... the beats are so damned fierce on it. Oh, and the album version of Crystalline was a nice surprise. Even freakier breakdown at the end!

Playlist is a win as usual, mate! Freaking LOVE that Grinderman track (congratulations, by the way, you got me to love something by them, when I've always had a lukewarm attitude towards them - and Nick Cave in general - in the past). MBD cover is ace, and that track by The Burns Unit is addictive as hell. I already knew the Broken Bells track, funnily enough. I gave that album a few spins last year. Pretty neat stuff. The only track I'm not too keen on is the closing Sufjan Stevens one. Not quite sure if a click with that guy. Elsewhere mind, top stuff as usual. Thanks a bunch!

Ah, I must have left last.fm running while Mic was listening to tunes. Honest!

Haha yeah, of course I knew Lykke Li. You were quite right with the 'Bob vibe' prediction. That track was also used in the recent Catwoman trailer for Arkham City. Good stuff.

You know, that show had really slipped my mind. I remembered the Reading show at the Boxing club or whatever it was quite well as we stopped at Alex's that night but for some reason I really couldn't remember that London show until you mentioned it, do you remember who played that show? They were good times though. I sent Mike a message over the Windows/Xbox live thing to see how he's getting on, don't really like to lose touch completely. I've never heard of The Bangers so I'm going to have a search for it now. I used spotify for a bit but i only really used it to link my friends to songs. I'm kind of stuck in the past with music, still listening to the same stuff from 5 years ago. ALTHOUGH I may have a recommendation for you if you haven't already heard them - Pour Habit. Check out their songs Tomahawk and The Expert if you haven't heard them, they're awesome - think Ignite meets Strung Out. The Face To Face album is pretty good too as you said, the best song is Stopgap for me.

Hey Scott, long time no see - how's it going? Thought i'd just pop over here and see if your music taste was as good as it was 6 years ago - it's weird thinking that's how long ago we were posting on punkermentality with mike, jas, erin etc. Madness.

This is the problem with letting friends use Spotify when we're drinking. xD

Heck yeah, Harvey is one very talented woman. She hasn't really ever delivered a duff album, to be honest.

Scott, you realize our music compatibility is now listed as 'Super'? Oh, how we've both changed over the last few years! I'm sure when I first added you we were listed as 'Low'. :)

Sobre mim

“Because you know if you play New Kids on the Block albums backwards they sound better. "Oh come on, Bill, they're the New Kids, don't pick on them, they're so good and they're so clean cut and they're such a good image for the children." Fuck that! When did mediocrity and banality become a good image for your children? I want my children to listen to people who fucking ROCKED! I don't care if they died in puddles of their own vomit! I want someone who plays from his fucking HEART!”
