I disagree. I think he should be dealt with the way Aristotle said a criminal should be punished which is sending them to rehab to make them a better person and if that doesn't work you keep him in prison.

Tim was put in solitary confinement(which means by himself). Then he was released on bail. Then was put on house arrest. He's waiting to go to trial which starts two days from now. You wish your fantasy of him with a black guy came true.

Merry Christmas and stuff, happy holidays, jolly vaycayciones and things. Things are so merry over here the only way for me to explain it would be by showing it and I have no idea how to do even that. How are you, good sire?

sweetened with proper sugar, 4) Never have I been more of a hobo magnet in my life (I even bought a hobo a beer), 5) I'm too tired to continue this ridiculous list. I think I'll be readier to visit America again at a later time under better circumstances. Why is Arizona or Colorado so appealing? I've only been to Florida and California.

"Pretentious-overly-liberal-hippie-whole-foods-hipster-soccer-mom-tract-home-look-at-me-I-drive-a-prius-complain-about-the-issue-of-homelessness-but-never-offer-them-a-dime......type people" - yes. Yes. This a thousand times yes. Although I guess meeting people you aren't very compatible with can teach you things, too. Personally, I learned a lot of things about myself on that trip and had cereal with soy milk with cereal for the first time, because WHY THE FUCK DO YOU PEOPLE NOT HAVE FOOD IN REGULAR HUMAN-SIZED PACKAGES? WHY DOES EVERYONE COME IN PACKS LARGE ENOUGH TO FEED AN ELEPHANT? WHY DO I NOT KNOW HOW TO SHOP IN CORPORATE AMERICA (picture me grabbing the front of your shirt and shaking you in desperation). So let me list some other things I learned: 1) I never want to do that trip again, 2) you people seriously need to cut down the usage of corn syrup in every fucking thing, 3) I know what you mean now when you once told me Coke doesn't taste as good because it's not-

Feels so funny having two people in my shoutbox with a completely opposite attitude towards Cali: you wanting to get away from there and thinking anything else is better, and the other saying it was amazing to visit and looking forward to going back someday. I'm not going to lie, I was in Cali in May and although it was fun, I don't remember the last time I was this happy to set foot back on Finnish soil (inb4 treason and "you're a commie"). The sad fact is that America(ns) freak(/s) me out. You are a scary people and a scary country and it's fascinating but oh so terrifying in all of the weird ways. Not good weird or bad weird, just weird. There were times when I felt so surreal like I had somehow actually managed to climb into my television that I don't actually even own and become a part of one of those typical American teenager movies. Sorry I don't even know where I'm going with this.

New beginnings and new place, eh? Where are you now and what do you do? Yeah I moved to Sweden but the last time we even talked I had already moved back to Finland. I've since then moved again but I'm still in Finland though. I'm about to get plenty of practice being a shitty guide to foreigners in this area so by the time you get your ass over here I'll probably know everything you might possibly want to know in my sleep. Oh and at they had stuff from all over the planet at the beer expo. I didn't really spend a lot of time on the beers but I'm sure they had beer from a lot of places, I mean they even had Japanese whiskey. There was a selection of whiskeys, beers and ciders.

Hey, you've been gone for a long time. How have you been? I lied I don't really know anything about bears, although I could always do a shallow wikipedia search and probably find something hilarious about bears to share with you. I'm too drunk and tired for that though. I went to a beer expo today and I only had several whiskies and some holy grail of cocktails. It was amazing. I cannot stress the word amazing enough here. Are you coming to Finland yet? I've got a new place.

I FINALLY GOT ERASERHEAD. Jesus Christ that was way too fucking long. Totally worth it. Also, if you like Tetsuo, have you seen Rubber's Lover? Shit's just as good.

  • CS_Cuillere

So where do you shower and shit or do you have a shower in your car? because that would be impressive. what about food and shit, do you just eat out all the time like at mcdonald's or something? haha, i'm ... here now like 15 hours later to finish typing this shout and i don't remember where i was going with this. suffice to say, yesterday did not go according to any fucking plan i ever made. but maybe i was just going to respond to the rest of your shout so let's do that: i don't exactly live miles and miles away from other people, which is both regrettable and relieving. regrettable in the sense that there are, in fact, people around all the fucking time and probably more moving in starting YESTERDAY (dude just showed up at the door) and the relieving part being that i don't have a car up here. if the nearest store was further than walking distance, i'd be fucked. other than that, it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere though. not a whole lot of anything. nice and quiet.

Do you ever feel that way? Do you ever pretend to be a responsible adult? What are you even up to these days?

    dezembro 2012
  • CS_Cuillere

Hey, that's cool! Although I only ever listening to one or two Primus songs and can't say I really warmed up to them. Then again, I am a bag of faggotry bouncing about, especially lately. That's okay. I kind of moved to the deep northern forests on the other side of the country to discover all kinds of new obligations and freedoms like paying your own rent and cooking your own meals every day of the week. Pretending to be a responsible adult is terrifying

Watched a few minutes, but I'll have to check it out after christmas. It looks interesting enough, and gave me the urge to triple bill with Tetsuo and Eraserhead. But for some moronic reason I bought the whole Shinya Tsukamoto collection sans Haze, Gemini and Vital. And I went and downloaded some Cronenbergs because I was sick of not finding them anywhere else. Scanners and eXistenZ. I think it's strange I can take Cosmopolis and A Dangerous Method but Crash bores the shit out of me. Haven't been past the first half hour yet. I'll keep trying. Have you checked out Cosmo yet? It comes out on DVD here in two weeks -____-

I haven't even heard of it before. Then again, I'm busy buying films only I have heard of. What is it (genre/premise wise)? I did pick up a copy of The Fly 2 for a couple of bucks today. And Battle Royale. A couple of exceptions, I suppose xD

Oh god. I looked up The Room out of curiousity...if I had been discouraged from self-publishing my manuscript before, I am definitely against it now xD I'll spend the next decade refining it...just please, various gods, don't let me turn out like that guuuuuy...

That's the one. I bought it merely on the promise of nazi zombies and medically-inaccurate special effects. Tokyo Gore Police is a favourite of mine, with the anime-esque cliches and general stupidity aside. It's too charming to dislike. Robogeisha, on the other hand, has very few redeeming factors aside from the fact it's bloody fantastic and such a good source of laughter. If you liked those two, there are a few others that are called essentials: The Machine Girl, which I've never seen, and Meatball Machine, which is almost a Tetsuo ripoff, but pretty enjoyable. All of those splatter-punk films have one thing in common: the special effects wizard behind everything.

I think the Australian dollar is only just above the American. It'll be 27 in normal retailers. But still...A Dangerous Method was 40 until recently, and now it's in discount piles for 15. Hopefully Cosmopolis won't take long to do that. But hey--at least they're still making DVDs. I hate when they phase stuff out. I am not an Avengers fan AT ALL. Mostly because it's Joss Whedon, and his movies are so utterly repulsive...but I hate superheroes, aside from a couple of the Batman films. And crossovers just require way too much suspension of disbelief. The person who reported your pic is clearly a prick. Mine hasn't been reported yet, I don't think. Maybe it's too low budget to be believable lol. Seen any other good films recently? I've just bought Dead Snow. I say bought but I really mean 'got it free when a friend bought a bunch of DVDs and got a free deal'.

Sorry for the delay man. I lost my password and my email was inactive too long. Sadly enough, I haven't read any novels since we last spoke...aside from a third of Cosmopolis. That book is so...readable. Which is ironic considering I don't understand the majority of what they're saying, and I have a feeling I'm not meant to. The overall story is easy but those philosophical rants...the annoying thing is the film isn't out here until the 17th of December. And the DVD stores I usually go to are claiming it will cost 37AUD. What the actual fuck, Australia? You sell Prometheus for 20, Naked Lunch for 15, and nearly everything released prior to 2001 for 7...but one little arthouse film nobody likes is almost ten bucks more than The Avengers (a horrible, horrible, Whedon-fest)? WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME. Also, another great avatar.

Hahaha. Oh, yeah we used to keep doors open all the time, especially during summertime. A couple of time some person just fucking wandered into our house, I mean what the balls? You don't just walk into someone's fucking house, even if the door is open... do you? I would never ever do that. Needless to say my parents did not take this well and told these people to get the fuck out. My dad also once left his car running while getting a coffee or something and during those 3-5 minutes a couple of junkies took his car and drove off with it. Not joking, this seriously happened. They wrecked the car pretty badly, but it was fixable and we got it back a while after. Nowadays I don't think it would be possible to get away with any of that small town mentality here, even though the city is still annoyingly small and you always kind of feel like 'everyone knows everyone' or at least your friends of friends know each other and it's hard to go out regularly without running into people you know.

Example: my internet connection died on Friday morning and didn't work until this morning. Nobody knows what was wrong, but that's not even the annoying part. The thing that gets to me most about these things is that they've changed the customer care system to a robot on the other end of the phone and it is quite simply impossible to talk to another human person unless you have spent a good half hour speaking to the robot in a way that it really cannot understand you. Then, and maybe then, will it direct you to an actual person. The first time I had to use the machine I was surprised by how well it could understand speech but even then it's kind of dumb and I wish I could just order it to connect to a real person that I can, I don't know, reach out to? It's weird. I never thought this would bother me when I was a little younger. I guess I just like anonymity and keeping my distance when I have some choice in it and now it's automated and I just have to settle.

I don't know, maybe I've just come across a weird bunch of Americans online who have acted strange and dodged questions I have had about them and their whereabouts. You haven't really exhibited such behavior to me, which is equally baffling. Maybe we will never know what went wrong. Completely agreed on the differences between smaller towns and bigger cities though in regards to human behavior. I think both have their pros and cons that I won't be writing an essay on right now, but I struggle with these differences now and again. My city isn't even that big and it's still the third largest city in the whole damn country, which is kind of nice but then sometimes not so much. And even though I do like the anonymity the city enables, I am kind of annoyed by how fucking hard it is to get to an actual living human person sometimes.

Oh yeah okay, I get what you mean. Although I think that in some situations even if the person making the 'jokes' is actually completely serious it can be funny. In a different way than if it were just a sincere joke, but still. A lot of the time the fact that the person actually believes what he is saying makes him go over the top though and ruins the potential funnies, but yeah. And in any case, whether you're traveling alone or with friends, you're (all) quite welcome over. We can fix you up some mattresses and shit for when you are staying over and it'll all be good.
