also, please inbox me the link of carrion (svk) if you can...while enqueing it in my winamp i realised all the songs i have are protected from tagging (a read-only folder) and the song names are not even tagged properly where they should be (thus, it wont scrobble)...i probably had it downloaded ages ago but now i cant find a single active link to it..

finally, searched my folders and produced a list in the group of bands that i like or love from central and eastern european countries, as the topic was being talked about there and someone else also asked for band names from that area...i know you asked me only for death/doom bands, which is just a subset of the whole list i wrote in the group, so please just filter through them one by one (:P) for death/doom ones..or i can nonetheless name you the death/doom ones from that list if you are even lazier than myself :P

Haha, yeah I love how bizarre/surreal that band sounds. Try Iconoclasm from Italy. That's also some really bizarre/alien sounding death metal. There's some more I can't think of at the moment but I'll send you another shout later with a few more weird bands.

Yeah I've got Comprehended Intelligence, been looking for the other demo for years though. The Slow Fermenting link is in your inbox.

sure, just wait a few hours when i get back to my own computer...can hardly recall the names of bands anymore, so will have to see my folder in my comp and remind myself...although i see below heavens has already loaded you with a bunch of eastern and central EU bands.

Try Amorbital, Acoasma, Dehydrated, Dissonance, Scabbard, Discrucior, Scapegoat from Bulgaria, Slow Fermenting, Regredior and Dissection from Lithuania. Those are all kind of melodic to an extent, Dissonance is a bit more weird and technical. Slow Fermenting is really strange..kind of bad quality but definitely worth listening to if you want to hear something unique.

Yeah that's what I figured you meant, just thought I'd let you know I'm still unable to find that cok EP though. I had never actually listened to Symptom until now. Pretty impressed actually.

"so you may give up the exploring urges" << you misunderstand....there is no urge anymore...that is precisely the point...somewhere in time some months back i lost my urge and interest of beig involved into music so much as i used to....and it's not a matter of choice...without me a priori knowing when, the interest and urge etc went off (actually, decreased a lot drastically, but of course it's never zero and i hope it doesnt get zero lol) and i am glad it did and i am not sad about it, but i didnt make the choice of forcing upon myself to control or stop my urges when these urges existed....i was never capable to control any of my urges (thus spent way too much time on it) but them decreasing was necessary and thus i am glad they were lessened by nature...

and thus comes the interesting thing - i dont want to regain much interest, certainly not as much as i had been for over 2-3 years and i intend and plan to get a lot busier and for me too much music phase for a long continous time is honestly a huge distraction when i'd actually want to be busy in real life....i am actually not at all really bothered/sad about my lack of musical hormones on a regular or continous basis thats happened over the last few months and i rather hope it continues indefinitely...besides it's not that i dont wanna hear anything ever, of course i do occasionally, i love my shit too, but dont want to start spending so much time all the time to music exploration...those 3 or so years of over involvement with music business was one of the main reasons (coupled with my general inefficiency and lack of the efficient multi-tasking skill) why i ended up screwing myself multiple times in my undergrad years and to be honest it's not worth that much for the most part...

nothing of the kind that needs to turn out okay is in my mind...have simply lost interest and plus busy life otherwise.

i cant bomb you with reccos in this case..coz i havent explored the dutch scene that much, and coz my mind has been so far removed from music in the past many months (the reason why i being such an exploring guy in general have hardly explored to find new good shit in the past 4-5 months) that i cant even remember much similar styled bands ever since you shouted me... in anycase, i can only recall etherial winds, sad whisperings and somber blessings (this one's from US) at the moment...the church bizzare (from germany) first album is also decent shit in the same vein...i think stentorian and avernus too maybe but not soo sure since i havent heard much from these bands and that too a long time back plus i am having a terrible music memory lately...i remember knowing at least 3-4 more bands (not all dutch) but like i said i cant fucking recall at all..maybe sometime later... recalling becomes much easier when someone asks for good shit encompassing all styles from some specific country..

Sobre mim

Expectations go out the window when Mr. Rumpy comes to town. Good stuff may lurk in the low-key drawl of a country-slowcore crossover, the rigidness of a free Bandcamp quasi-technical death album, or even in a sampled piano hook making up the meat of a radio-friendly rap single. It's all about having a blast trying to find it.
