Okay, I'm back. Kind of. Been offline for a week and now I had to catch up with a lot of mail. XD Btw, I noticed that I had some problems with cached scrobbles, some didn't show up on the page. Back to the subject, I could have a huge lot of gay friends at university (I study languages, which is full of gay boys), but the thing is, I never make friends in there. Going out with people from your same university is a total bore, you end up not talking of anything else. Especially mine, people tend to become unhealthily obsessive over it. How did things go with the RAF museum, eventually? Any news? :) Oh and of course if you're planning a trip to Italy, just let me know, it'd be nice to meet. I like meeting people I knew from the internet, despite what some might say I forged a lot of beautiful friendships on forums, art websites or communities. :D

Absolutely agree with you. I also can't understand such tag as "guilty pleasure". Why to feel guilty about listening to something? There are different genres of music, and different people like different music, it's absolutely normal. And I also agree with you about Hurts. For me their first album is better, it sounds more... unique I'd say. But such songs as Exile and The Road make me love their latest work too. Unfortunately can say nothing about their personalities, I've never seen them live (though I'd like to attend one of their concerts very much). But my friend has been to their show in Moscow, she said they seemed to be nice people

Mmm... My favourite is Florence + The Machine (Flo has divine voice). I also like Hurts and Depeche Mode. Actually I love all this synthpop/electronic/new wave thing. Not so long ago I started to listen to Dead Can Dance. Their music is just magic - so atmospheric (ethereal in its best:)). I'd also add Voltaire and Abney Park to my list... Sometimes I listen to mainstream pop (like Madonna or Lady Gaga). Generally I see no reason to put yourself in borders of only one genre and to be shy or ashamed of something if a bunch of dolts thinks "it sucks" (and it's not only about music):D

Uh, nope! Actually I don't even know them. What do they sound like? :0 Anyways, yep, you're totally right. And even without going as far as "biphobia" or "transphobia", I just don't get why gay men love stereotypes so much. They seem eager to go and fit into one, and god forbid they relate with someone who doesn't. And your principle of finding acceptance in rejection is 100% right: I do have more gay friends than straight ones, but we're all somewhat out of the scene. :P This week has been quite nice. First I took the first photo for my (umpteenth) new project, which was quite a challenge because it was my first nude self. Then on Friday I've been out on a trip, at last. I took some photos, had a great time and took a swim in one of the most amazing beaches in Italy. I'm enjoying the last bits of holidays before getting back to the adult world. :P Wish you luck for the RAF Museum, especially since it's a subject you love so much! ;)

Well, I'd say DYU > TDC > TPA > RFTI > CTO. And I also like The Classical Conspiracy very much (especially the metal versions of OSTs and classics). Btw, what's your favourite not metal/rock band?

Don't think you're the only one, I want this too:) And sometimes I also miss Simone's vocal style from The Phantom Agony. Don't want to say that I dislike her current singing, I'd even say I'm glad that she tries something new but I just like her more operatic voice better

The bitch is back! :P I've been offline for the week end, in a boring place too, so I was about to become murderous. XD I see the conversation went on without me subtly (or not?) trolling anyone, people are taking it seriously. Anyways, the gay scene is a weird place, like pretty much every subculture. Begging for acceptance but being very quick to ostacise. Oh well, it's not a big deal. I've been something of an outcast all my life, being the child of the only foreign woman of the small town where I spent my early childhood. Perhaps that's why I feel so rootless even now. Eventually I only saved one photo of Cassiopeia, the others weren't that nice – that was my first night photogtaphy experiment, after all. And yeah, I guess we get more variety in the stars throughout the year: the more southwards, the more constellations from the other emisphere you see. I wish I could go to South Afrieca or Australia to see the stars someday, it must be amazing to change perspective...

And my favourite album by Epica is Design Your Univers, though TDC is also fabulous without any doubt. But now the more I listen to Requiem for the Indifferent the more I love it, so... For me it's rather hard to choose my absolutely favourite ;)

Oh, maybe... Tbh, for me she's a very good violonist and a singer with a strong voice first of all. And about her message... I always interpreted her albums like fictional books with interesting plot (maybe sounds a bit strange, lol). And, of course, can't deny that I like all this entourage and stage image. Btw, I see your most listened (and I guess your favourite) album by ToT is Forever Is The World. I like this fact as it's also my favourite by them ^_^ (though many people don't consider it their best)

Yeah, and besides Evanescence fans just ASK to be trolled. Sometimes I read what they write and ask myself, was I like that too when I was a teen and kind of worshipped them? Thank goodness I discovered ToT. But well, at least tonight I shut the computer off and asked my mother for a lift to go out of town and see the shooting stars. I brought my old astrolabe along and had fun tracking constellations for two good hours. :P Your friend's project sounds cool, it's nice to burst the gay stereotypes. Personally, for some things I am a bit stereotypical (especially when it comes to being a girl's "gay best friend", that's a classic), but I tend to find myself a bit cut off most of the gay community because I'm neither muscular, tanned and with extra-short hair, nor a hipster or such, so I'm kind of frowned upon. It's nice to show there are other kind of people in the world. :D

Did it? How? :0 Perhaps it was just struggling to work because of heath? Glad to hear your friend's project worked out fine. I've got back to working to one of my own and I'm setting things up to get at least four works done by the end of September (it's a series of photographs, so I have to organise stuff with models and so on). But right now I'm so bored I stooped to arguing whether Evanescence are metal or not on Within Temptation's shoutbox. It's hard to get a life when you're in a remote place on holidays. >__<

Yay! Good luck with emplyment then. :D As for me, it's been a rather rough week but things seem to be settling down since this afternoon. Family troubles, creative block and stuff like that, but at least part of the mess is being solved. Thanks for asking. :) What about you?

Sobre mim

Most would describe me as a goth, though I don't fit into the stereotype very well, and my music consists of just as much black and death metal, and industrial, as traditional and contemporary gothic music and then just regular pop and dance music too. So basically my music taste varies from classical music, to death and black metal. From gothic metal, to synthpop and futurepop.

Leave me a message and I'll sure to get back to you.

Since I only really properly started listening to music around 2004 (as in I could buy cds, and access music where as before the music I had was limited to what I could find on crappy internet and from friends and relatives) this is going to be a backtracked list (Note: Some may seem obscure, but they are done on the albums as I found them and as they appeared to me, if I found it the next year I didn't really count it - such as Forever Slave I found in 2005 and fell in love with it, despite having recently found stuff that I think is better from 2005).
