Let me start by saying that I like to keep an open mind about all music, despite what my profile prioritizes as a result of preference. I've been listening to "metal" since High School. Up until that point my music tastes were under-developed, and for a brief period I simply rejected all music because none of it seemed to fill that void in my life at the time. Then I found Iron Maiden. I absolutely fell in love with them, listening to their albums on repeat day after day - until I discovered Judas Priest. Hearing "Painkiller" for the first time my entire world was shaken by its very foundations. I have since branched far away from my NWOBHM origins but never too far. I like music that is diverse, interesting, at times brutal but never repetitive and never (at least what I consider) boring. I call it musical ADHD.
