Is your fist large, or is your head small?

Hahaha, naaaah man, I'm doing pretty well striking out on my own path, a lot less arguing going on in my life :-) I'm just not the type of personality that plays nice on forums, you guys don't want to be around that crap.

I'm a bad person to ask. I like Yeasayer more but when I saw them live they were really sloppy and just disappointing, and I'm one of the rare people who doesn't like the Dodos at all aside from a few tracks here and there. Go see The Hold Steady instead.

Hey Only, it's Mike. I hope you're still not mad that I thought you were gay...I'd totally bang you, though. nohomo. Also, super compatibility is awesome.

Haha, thanks? Not really dedication so much as passion. Love TVOTR, that song isn't even my fave on the album! Probably "You" or "Will Do" or "Forgotten," everything on that album is a jam. How you doing? What's cool new music that I need to hear?

Definitely try to catch him live if you get the chance, he's an incredible guitarist and actually a funny guy.

Haha Twink's not a dick...and yeah, he does come through with the recs quite often. It's hard to keep up with everybody! But yeah, I'm in love with the BSBD release. Just trying to catch up with everything and still feel like I'm giving every record I listen to a fair amount of time to reveal itself to me...it's a rough balancing act.

The stuff we do have in common is pretty badass though.

Hi Jordan. I like to be called Jebediah, but don't worry--no offense taken. I'll check out James Blake. Thanks for the heads up.

Also, re:Tchaikovsky...if you haven't listened much, I'd recommend the Piano Concerto No. 1 and his Symphonies No. 4, 5, and 6. I've heard good things about Romeo and Juliet, but never actually heard it (I think it's actually his most famous piece, along with Swan Lake...)

Hell yeah man. People are always giving me cool nicknames over there, which is nice. Next I think I will be "The Everlasting Crobstopper." Haha. Also, nice to see some love for Tchaikovsky; I was listening to Swan Lake too after seeing Black Swan. While I LOVE Tchaikovsky's music and particularly Swan Lake, it is still an incredibly daunting listen, and it always feels "incomplete" due to being a score for the ballet...never have had the chance to see the ballet though. Never really been a fan of ballet either. But, who knows...maybe I'd enjoy it! Still, it's a really long piece, and can be a chore to get through when you're only listening to the music and not being stimulated by Natalie Portman....err...I mean...ballet dancing... :D

Haha, yeah...I need to knock that shit off, in all honesty. I get worked up over the littlest things...that can't be good for my health. Plus, I think the Cricket forums could be a really, really glorious place for musical exploration if we set our differences aside and focused on enriching everybody's musical experiences...but I don't think that'll ever happen. But I can at least try to do my part. I hope you maybe checked out that Teams vs. Star Slinger EP that I posted on the boards today? Not sure if that's your style of music, but hey, it's only 19 minutes long so even one listen won't waste too much of your life :P

Hey Dude. Nice lists. I like that NPR is your fourth highest artist. Sweet group! I can sympathize. I once ripped an audiobook to my hardrive that had track breaks every two minutes. I was probably 300 pages in when I discovered it was scrobbling the author and he had become one of my highest chart listings. It made me seem all hip listening to so many tracks by someone no one else had ever scrobbled.

The Smith Westerns is growing on me. It'll probably end up being grossly overrated by critics, but it's nice anyways.

I'll kindly disagree, I think VL is great but MAYA is better, just got unfairly maligned for a lot of non-music related reasons (including the context of the album in her discography, which I suppose is music-related but not related to criticism of the actual music). But yah, VL is p. sweeeeeet. Got some bangers.
