ah, Arab on Radar. It's been awhile! I'm not overly into Arab on Radar or The Chinese Stars for some reason. I have both of them in my library though, I give them both a listen every now and again. Thanks though!

Ah ha, super! We were just "very high" on here before, right? I haven't kept up with my friends on here like I should... ha. "Lazy Comet" is such a great song, I think it has to be one of my favorites of all time. I had it in my library for such a long time and just never listened to it... that seems to happen to me pretty often. "Thermal Treasure" is also one of my favorites. Today's Active Lifestyles is just a good album as a whole, I think.

When "god" built me, he forgot to attach my head to my body. Then "satan" came along, noticed that my body was empty, and subsequently filled it with "poison". I am doing the best I can, considering...

Did You Know?: The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is undeniably and without question the most important microbe in all of recorded human history. Your own decision of whether or not to consume alcohol has absolutely no bearing on the validity of this statement. The bacterium Escherichia coli ranks a close second, while the influenza virus and Penicillium sp. are tied for third place.
It's True!!

"To know love is to know love. The skies of America have had more changes to occur under them in this century than any other country: assassinations, political wars, gangster wars, racial wars, space races, women's rights, sex, drugs and the death of god, all for the betterment of the American people. What then is left to happen under the skies of America but the goodness, a country with so many changes within the nature of its people must have something very special for the world to enjoy since it has done so many things to change its own territory and mental relationships to each other. Love, hate, and lies live in the nature of all in some manner. America knows all three of these from the world and its people. Why, where and what is the purpose of a country that has the essence of mankind and the blessing of the skies. America is a young country. When it reaches one thousand years will its descendents care about the American Indians whose skies gave so much. All Americans know who, how, and why their existence came to be American regardless of the condition. If only then one could be as true as the skies of America." - Ornette Coleman

"As Stephen Jay Gould pointed out in a delightful analogy, we can account for any growth in the complexity of living organisms through a drunkard's walk effect. Imagine a drunk leaning against a wall. A few meters to his right is a gutter. If the drunk takes random equal-sized steps to his left or to his right then he inevitably ends up in the gutter. No force propels him to his right; he moves randomly, and at any time he is as likely to move to his left as to his right. But the wall eventually stops his leftward motion; over time, there is only one direction in which to move. Eventually, completely by chance, the drunk stumbles into the gutter. The same effect can explain any advance we might observe in the complexity of organisms. At one end we have a wall of minimum complexity that organisms can posses and still be alive. This wall is where life began, and where most life on Earth still remains. Over time, evolution tinkers with more advanced organisms; when life itself was young, that was the only available possibility - evolution could not try out simpler designs, because its path was blocked by the wall of minimum complexity. Some of the new designs worked, in the sense that the organisms were adapted well enough in their immediate environments to survive long enough to reproduce. And so evolution staggered on, like a blind drunk, tentatively producing organisms of greater complexity. After almost 4 billion years of random tinkering, we end up with the living world we see today. But there was nothing inevitable about the process; the purpose of evolution was not to produce us. Play the tape of history again, and there is no reason to suppose Homo sapiens - or any equivalent sentient species - would play any role at all."
- Stephen Webb, "If the universe is teeming with aliens... Where Is Everybody? Fifty solutions to the Fermi paradox and the problem of extraterrestrial life"

Alignment:
Neutral Good A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment because it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:
Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

Secondary Class:
Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.
