It was great! Got to meet Alter Bridge, All That Remains, Bullet For My Valentine, Sick Puppies again, and as I said, Chad Szeliga. I wish some of the bands got longer sets, but it was definitely an experience I won't forget.

He is by far my favorite drummer. Very original in his techniques, in my opinion. After finding out that he was playing with Hourcast, I took the opportunity to meet them here at Rock on the Range. Since only about 5 other people wanted to meet them, I got to actually stand there and have a conversation with him. And yeah, seems like all BLS fans are fat 50 yr olds with long beards and leather jackets haha.

I really did not like it at all. ATR was great, but everyone in the crowd were a bunch of scumbags that were throwing punches at people in the pit. One fatass attempted to pick me up and the throw me on the ground. Another took a swing at my friend's face... That completely turned me off of the whole show. BLS was very unimpressive. That 20 minute guitar solo took talent, I admit, but was pretty much pure sound. We left during that. The hour wait in between was ridiculous as well. Highlight for me was seeing my favorite drummer play with Hourcast. And yeah, Uproar is supposed to be at Comcast this year, but unless it's on a weekend, I'll have to go elsewhere.

I saw A7X and Limp Bizkit at Oakdale... I'm assuming that's the same as "The Dome." It was great! My friends and I had the first row of seats behind the gate of the pit and we hopped it when the lights went out haha.

It was great! It didn't really compare to the concert that followed it by a couple days, but I'll enjoy any rock show with bands that I like. I got there just in time for "Die Trying," which is really all I cared about for AoD. Halestorm was just as loud and energetic as I remembered from Uproar, and Skillet was fucking great. They sounded amazing, and I'm glad I finally got to see them. I just wish they weren't so cliche Cristian, so they don't have to be a guilty pleasure. Theory of a Deadman really didn't do much for me. Too generic and Nickelbackish for my taste, but the singer is pretty funny I guess, haha. As for Stone Sour, great as always. I'm glad that after my 3rd time seeing them, there were finally a decent amount of fans there for them. "Unfinished" and "Get Inside" were nice to see. Just wish they'd play "Inhale" or "Tumult" from their first album. Great show overall, and I can't wait to see SS again in about a week :)

You're really not making me feel any better, haha. I personally don't think I look a day over 12 lol, but w/e. I was planning on using my 21 yr old brother's ID, but I didn't want to take the chance of it being taken or anything. I know you can watch the concert from a distance, but that's not enough for me. Especially to travel an hour for. From what I understand, the arena was taken by a youth basketball tournament.

That makes me feel better that I didn't miss "White Balloons," but did I miss "Anywhere But Here?" I hope I get to see them play that one day... They should have just played that show at Webster. IDK, why the hell they played there. I decided not to try anything literally last second, and it's probably better that I didn't risk getting caught. I'm sure both bands have long futures ahead of them, and I can catch them on another tour, but I can't help thinking that some of the songs that SP played on this tour won't be played again.

I know, dude. I'm pissed! I'm not 21, so I can't go :( Nightmare After Christmas was amazing though. Definitely one of the best that I've been to. I'm not a big Hollywood Undead fan, but A7X and Stone Sour are two of my favorites.

I'm not sure. I've been thinking about it. I saw Hellyeah at Uproar and they weren't that great, and I'm not the biggest Buckcherry fan... I love All That Remains, but I'm not sure if I'd pay $40 to just see them. I really regret not seeing them when they were at the Webster. Plus don't they not allow pits at Mohegan? They say you can't have them at Webster either, but people do it any way. IDK if it's the same way there or if they are way more strict.

I think I've seen A7X enough. It's Stone Sour that I absolutely need to see again. I feel bad that I saw and met them without even being as big a fan of them as I am now. I'm pretty pumped for what's ahead in the next few months.

Sobre mim

I spend most days listening to music and drinking beer. Sitting with a cold brew, cig between my lips and some good tunes....doesn't get much better than that.

I like to think my musical tastes are varied, I could be crazy though. Lately I have felt like branching out more so recommend something. Mostly I like something I can nod my head to and a little thumb fretting on my knee. I tend to drift towards music that has meaning, I really like music with emotion.

I hate all the talk of genres and sub-genres. You can't force a genre on anything, it should be apparent when every artist on here has over 10 different genre tags. Also a dead giveaway that the name-calling and labeling has gotten out of hand when there is a "genre" with almost every word in the dictionary in front of rock, metal, what have you. Music is music, can't we just leave it at that.

If I had to name my Top 5 bands/musical acts, off the top of my head it would go like this:

-Anything and everything Chris Cornell (more than 1 band I know so what)
-Stone Sour (I love Corey Taylor but he really shines with SS even in the pre-'knot days early demos are fantastic)
-Avenged Sevenfold

Why my Top 5 on lastFM doesn't match this.......I am not sure. My mood affects my music listening so combine that with my rampant mood swings. I guess that is the answer.

Are my musical tastes similar to your own?? Don't be afraid to shoot me a message and/or friend request.
