How many times have you listened to number one?
    336

    Is this your favorite band?
    Most definitely.

What got you into number one?
I can't really remember. I think I was just rustling around for some music, and I tried out Underoath. I downloaded TOCS, listened through it once, and was in love. Since then my adoration has increased a lot, especially when they released DTGL.

Why the hell have you listened to that so much?
Because they're so fucking awesome. Amazing melodies, great breakdowns, perfect riffs, powerful screams, beautiful singing etc.

    Favorite songs of number one:
Young and Aspiring, You're Ever So Inviting, Reinventing Your Exit, I'm Content With Losing, In Regards To Myself.

Something you think you’d thoroughly enjoy doing with the band?
Chill out and have a curry, then have them play an awesome 3 hour gig for me, without a single mention of Jesus.

    Favorite memory of the artist?
Either seeing them live for the first time, or when I bought DTGL and listened to it 11 times in a row.

How many times listened to number two?
    293

    What got you into them?
I think I just found their myspace by accident, and it was so brutal that I was in tears.

What makes you like them so much?
They are motherfucking brutal. So so so hardcore. None of this fancy pansy melody bullshit. Just straightout METALCORE.

    Favorite songs:
3750, 4x4, Brown Noise, Whoa shut it down.

    Favorite memory of artist?
    Nothing really.

How many times have you listened to number three?
    250

Would you pay thirty dollars to see them in concert?
    I don't have $30, but I have £15 so yes. And I payed £10 and I'm seeing them in a couple of weeks :)

How many times have you listened to four?
    244

Would you go fishing with them?
No, because they're split up and I don't believe in fishing really. I would go for a fun day out with them, though.

Any particular emotions run through you when you listen?
A cocktail of happiness and anger. Daryl Palumbo has the most powerful, angry voice and it chills me slightly. Not chill as in relax, but unnerve.

What songs do you like best?
Lovebites and Razorlines, Pink Roses, Cosmopolitan Bloodloss, The Gilette Cavalcade of Sports.

How many times have you listened to five?
    220

    What’s so intriguing about them?
They're just beautifully melodic and awesomely hardcore. Every song just works.

Could you imagine them in a circus?
Not really, especially 'cause the drummer never has any expression.

    How many times for six?
    208

How many 3s in a <3333333 would you give them and why?
Fifty Six Million and Fourty Eight Hundred Point One. One of the best bands ever (satellite years).

    How many times for 7?
    157

I hear 7 is a magical number, is this band magical?
They were better with Anthony Green, but they're still pretty magical. Not because Cove Reber isn't as good, but because the music has gone downhill.

What are some of your favorite songs and what memories are attached to them?
The entire of Translating the name, from start to finish, is pure genius. Best memory is them ending on They Perched On Stilts at TOC in Novemeber.

    How many times for eight?
    131

How long have you liked this artist?
    About a year.

What are some songs you like/why?
Ebolarama, because it's lyrical perfection and has some amazing breakdowns. Equally with The Logic of Crocodiles, and Pincushion is amazing in its heaviness.

Poor nine and ten, how many times you listened to them?
    106 and 104

Why have them as number nine and ten, where is the loveeee?
Christ, it's out of what? 100 or something? That has quite a bit of love. Alexisonfire are at 9 because although I like them, there are better bands. TBS are at 10 because I've listened to them quite a few times, but I don't like them that much.

How long have you liked them?
Alexisonfire: About 2 or 3 years.
TBS: About 2 or 3 months.

What are the poor artists from 11-20?
    11. Emery - Absolutely brilliant, although I don't listen to them as much any more. The question was a bit of a disappointment too.
    12. Poison the Well - Pretty good, but only one decent album.
    13. Pearl Jam - Not my favourite artist by any means, but I've liked them for a long time. Plus, they're high up my list because I have 5 albums of theirs or something.
    14. Anterrabae - Not popular enough to be higher up my list, but a really excellent band.
    15. Joanna Newsom - So beautiful. Just beautiful. A complete change from my normal tastes, but so so beautiful.
    16. Drop Dead, Gorgeous - Listened to them quite a bit, but not really one of my favourite bands.
    17. HORSE the band - Funny and some quite cool music. Love the synth.
    18. Caliban - Ugh, used to listen to these a lot. Gone off them completely. Really boring, sounds like AILD.
    19. The Used - I listened to their 345,402,597 minute long album a couple of times and now they're in my top twenty. Not a very good band.
    20. AFI - Used to be excellent; went a bit downhill.
  • Misery Signals

    Dez 10 2006, 17h49

In the past few days, I've been listening to Misery Signals a bit too much. It's quite scary actually; I must seem like an obsessive fan. But I love them! Mmm.. That's the shit.

In fact, I saw Misery Signals, Between the Buried and Me and Darkest Hour the other day at Manchester Academy 3. Only decided to go the day before, and it was well worth it. All 3 bands were awesome :) Misery Signals were obviously brilliant, but no-one seemed to go quite as mad for them as they did for Darkest Hour. When they told everyone to make a Circle Pit, oh the people did. And it was chaotic.
